Built from classic honey coloured Cotswold Stone and dating back to the 17th Century, Hainault House is a double fronted, Grade II listed property, standing proudly on the raised pavements of the historic village of Blockley. Despite being well away from major roads and tourist buses, the village is fortunate to have two pubs, a restaurant and an award winning community owned shop and café. The good: beautiful setting, gorgeous village, nice local pubs, within short driving distance of points of interest. The house has a lot of character and is tastefully decorated. The not so good: very strong gassy smell throughout the house when we arrived. We were told that was normal as the Aga had just been serviced... Still, we asked for it...

We totally enjoyed our stay at Hainault House. True there isn't designated parking but as the owners said it really wasn't a problem finding parking on the quiet high street. The location of the terraced house in Blockley (such a friendly village) was perfect for a plethora of glorious Cotswolds walks and pubs. We can strongly recommend the Western Arms,...

Stayed at Hainult House as a group of 8 people. Had an absolutely fantastic time. The house has everything you need and more. It is a few doors down from The Crown which is good for drinking and a 5 minute walk from The Great Western Arms which was great for food. Chipping Campden is just over an hours walk...

Blockley is a popular village in the Cotswolds which is found within a triangle formed by three renowned market towns: Chipping Campden to the North, Moreton-in-Marsh to the South East and Stow-on-the-Wold to the South. Being close to these three towns has led to increased footfall in the village, bringing with it good quality pubs and a lovely village shop/café.
