Stunning views of the Solent and Southampton Water. Watch the world sail by from the lounge window.This bungalow is situated on an elevated position close to the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes. It is just a 5 minute walk from the bustling centre of Cowes, with its numerous restaurants, bars and marinas. All rooms to the front of the bungalow, plus the front sun terrace have stunning views of the Solent and Southampton Water. How about breakfast or dinner on the front terrace watching the cruise liners and yachts sail by? Alternatively relax in the large secluded rear garden with its large lawn and established plants and shrubs.With luck you'll spot the resident red squirrels. Historical Northwood Park with its grounds and facilities are located to the rear and side of the property. Stroll directly through the garden gate and play tennis, bowls or putting. Main bedroom at rear of property has a super king sized bed. There is a twin bedded room at the front with sea views. There is also a bedroom with a small double bed (4 foot). The study has a bed settee. This has amazing sea views and bed can be made left up throughout the holiday as it is in a separate room. Note half the ceiling to this study is glazed. There are full broadband facilities. There is off road parking for 2 vehicles up a steep drive. Once at the top of the drive it is flat. More

About the neighbourhood
Best known as the worlds premier yachting centre, Cowes is the Islands main port with a natural harbour at the mouth of the Medina river. Yachtsmen from all over the world participate in the seasons prestigious sailing events, of which the best known is Cowes Week, held annually at the beginning of August.Cowes and East Cowes grew from a huddle of fishermens shacks around two coastal forts built by Henry VIII on opposite banks of the River Medina and named after the two off-shore sandbanks or cows. The towns are linked by an old-fashioned chain ferry and have a tradition of fine ship building, dating from the reign of Elizabeth I.
