Kittiwake cottage is a spacious, beautifully decorated cottage on an award winning holiday cottage development in Filey. It has an open plan living space with log burner, smart TV and free wifi. There is a sunny terrace with barbecue, and views overlooking a boules court. The seaside cottage has access to a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, tennis court, gym, pub, and beauty salon. Only a short walk to the lovely beach and surrounded by picturesque countryside, it's a perfect holiday retreat. Sleeps 5 Master bedroom 1: kingsize bed, Second bedroom: Bunk beds and single bed with room for travel cot in both bedrooms.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kittiwake Cottage. The cottage is well presented, spacious & cosy. "Home from home!". Great facilties, an ideal location to go and explore the east coast.
The Bay Filey services were frustrating to say the least, activities we had booked cancelled & leasuire centre closing without any notification. We only found when no one turned up. We contacted customer services, who then advised us all services had been cancelled.
Despite the above, that did not stop us having a great weekend, and should not detract from what is a stunning place to stay.

Home from home!
We stayed at Kittiwake in Sept ‘23 for 4 nights with our little dog. The cottage is super clean, hotel standard linen and towels. The ground floor is open plan and furniture is comfortable and modern. We played tennis a couple of times; easy to book and we had drinks at the on site pub/restaurant which is also dog friendly.
The beach is a 10 minute downhill walk on a purpose built path and you can walk to Filey which is a nice little seaside town.
I can honestly say this was the best rental we had ever visited !

Beautiful Cottage
Kittiwake Cottage is a beautiful cottage about 3 miles outside of Filey and only about 10 miles from Scarborough.
The cottage was well presented, very clean and spacious.
It is easy to get to Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough from it.
It was our first holiday as a family of three and we couldnt have chosen a nicer cottage and location. Would highly recommend

Home from home
We booked Kittiwake Cottage for my sons first holiday. He has additional needs and I was looking for somewhere that was a home from home to make things as stress free as possible and Kittiwake provided just that!
I found the cottage on a Google search after trawling the Internet for days and I'm so glad that I did. The owners really have thought of everything and the extra touches make all of the difference. The weather wasn't the best during our stay and the games console, dvd player and Firestick were well used!
The communication has been excellent throughout and we even got a text to say that the cottage was ready earlier than the check in time.
The site is clean and tidy and Kittiwake has the added bonus of its own parking space which was great.
We didn't go to the pub or restaurant so can't comment on those but did use the swimming pool, arcade and little shop on site, all of which are just a short walk away.
If we pay a return visit to Filey I would definitely look to book Kittiwake again!

What a gem !
We have just returned from a great stay at Kittiwake Cottage and can not recommend it highly enough . This is a cottage that really is a home from home. The owners have thought of everything that you could possibly want or need for your time away , from buckets and spades and flasks for the beach , to dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid in the kitchen , plus all the hand soap at all the sinks ! If you have a baby or small children its incredible whats there, travel cot, baby bath, changing mat , potty and standup step, need I say more !!!! There is a barbecue area at the back with table and chairs , a boules court just across and lots of space for children to play right outside . Parking is right outside the front door , so good when unpacking in the rain . The pool on site is very good , lifeguards on duty , very friendly helpful staff and a good amount of activities for all ages to book for. The beach is a 5/10 mins walk away , very clean , and big , great for walking along and getting your steps in for the day 😉
All in all a very well equipped , clean, comfortable, cosy and safe place to stay , with owners who are great at communication via e-mail or over the phone . Book this stay with confidence , we will definitely be returning 😊

A perfect coastal retreat!
We really enjoyed our stay at Kittiwake Cottage, I personally loved the 'coastal style' decor and it felt comfortable and welcoming throughout.
The house itself has everything you need, in fact there was nothing I could think of that it didn't have. The kitchen is well laid out with everything to hand. The layout is open downstairs and nice and light while upstairs is cozy and well decorated throughout. Incredibly comfortable bed with pure cotton bed linen, lots of space and storage throughout the cottage. A lovely big bath to relax in after a long walk on the beach.
The garden and surrounding area is very well kept with great outdoor seating for enjoying your favourite tipple or a cuppa as the sun goes down.
This feels like a very safe place and it is very well kept throughout.
The amenities onsite were excellent too, a big swimming pool, a shop for groceries, a pub which serves coffees, food and drink etc is all in walking distance, as is the beach.
We loved it and will be back again soon. Thank you!

Lovely Cottage - like a home from home
We stay for 4 Nights and was very pleased. The owners have though of everything. There was a lovely little welcome package, the kitchen was well equipped and there was a good selected of DVD, Games and Online TV services for those days when the weather was not so good.
The cottage is very nicely decorated and clean throughout. Shopping facilities on-site are limited, you would be better off nipping into Filey to get food supplies.
We left our stay feeling very relaxed and would look to stay again

Relaxing Holiday
From start to finish this was a lovely holiday. The complex has everything you need and the surrounding area has something for everyone. The cottage is well equipped and well maintained and comfortable. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful visit to Kittiwake Cottage
We had a wonderful week at the cottage just before Easter and the whole family including our dog Greta really enjoyed it. The beach is amazing, clean and huge. The cottage was like a home from home, very clean and comfy. The children enjoyed the activities on site, especially making teddies. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Kittiwake Cottage, Filey
Just had a fantastic weekend away at Kittiwake Cottage. The Bay at Filey itself is a wonderful holiday village, everything you need, pub, eatery, shop, leisure complex, walk down onto beach.
The property is also wonderful, warm, cosy, enough room for 5, without being on top of each other. Every last detail thought about, you dont need to pack the usual little things. There were pegs, a wind break for the beach, portable bbq, even down to spare batteries for the remote! We will be booking again!😊

Filey is a lovely, traditional seaside resort, with a children’s paddling pool, crazy golf course and donkey rides on the beach in high season. There are some amusement arcades on the Coble Landing down by the lifeboat station and a small children’s fairground along the promenade. There's also a pitch and putt green and a museum with displays showing the history and development of Filey.
Getting around
You can walk to the beach in just 10 minutes and walk right along into Filey town centre (watching the tides) There are bus stops just a 2 minute walk from the cottage which will take you into Filey/Scarborough or Bridlington. If you have a car there are lots of places to visit. RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Scarborough, and Bridlington.
