Kittiwake cottage is a spacious, beautifully decorated cottage on an award winning holiday cottage development in Filey. It has an open plan living space with log burner, smart TV and free wifi. There is a sunny terrace with barbecue, and views overlooking a boules court. The seaside cottage has access to a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, tennis court, gym, pub, and beauty salon. Only a short walk to the lovely beach and surrounded by picturesque countryside, it's a perfect holiday retreat. Sleeps 5 Master bedroom 1: kingsize bed, Second bedroom: Bunk beds and single bed with room for travel cot in both bedrooms.

Absolutely fabulous holiday in a beautiful homely cottage.
We had our first visit to the bay and stayed at kittiwake cottage this week. The cottage is beautiful, really homely and a lovely location. It was a 15 minute stroll to the beach ( with a very slow 4 year old in tow!). Stunning beach though and we enjoyed a few morning walks along it to the beach cafe at Hunmanby Gap which was a great way to the start the day.
The cottage was very well equipped and very well cared for. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. We had a problem with the hot water on our first day which Clare dealt with very promptly and a plumber resolved within a few hours.
We loved the location and the site so much we are now hoping to buy our own but would definitely recommend kittiwake and we will use again until we find our perfect cottage.

Amazing!
We were lucky enough to get a last minute break at Kittiwake Cottage in February and we had an amazing time. The cottage is everything that you could hope for - and has everything you need; whether it is to keep a 4 and 6 year old happy or two grown ups relaxed. 😊
Once you leave the cottage you can enjoy all the facilities and a very short walk takes you to the beach for more fun and relaxation. All in all a perfect break. Happy smiles all round and two little girls who can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic break
We had a really lovely weekend in this beautiful homely cottage . Our two little yorkies loved the beach which was a ten minute walk away. There was everything you could think of in the cottage which was spotlessly clean. We will definitely go back.

Lovely. Cosy home from home
We stayed to see in the new year. The cottage was warm, clean and had everything we could have needed for our stay. From the bedroom for our son to the log fire in the living room. Such a lovely little gem of a cottage. We booked for next year before our stay had even finished.
Would highly recommend.

Lovely little get away
Highly recommend, we had a lovely stay at Kittiwake cottage Monday to Friday. We had everything we needed, Spotless & cosy, being able to park directly outside the cottage was a bonus. Just a 10 min walk to the beach. Came home relaxed & refreshed. We will definitely be back.

Amazing place amazing host - have rebooked already!
Booked this wonderful cottage for the second time for our youngest sons birthday treat. Yet again it has exceeded all expectations and I cannot recommend it enough. The cute cottage has everything you need and is very very clean and fabulous value. I contacted the host prior and she made my lad so happy by arranging 8th birthday decs and balloons for him on arrival. That extra mile makes us wish to continue holidaying here every year. We booked again for our next break whilst still there. Love it! Thank you so much again for an amazing stay xx

Fabulous house
We stayed at this house september 2019 it was the most fantastic property we have ever rented beautifully clean, really well and thoughtfully equipt, everything you could want has been provided, it is very comfortable and dog friendly, parking outside the door, on site swimming pool and pub and access to the beach we are returning again this year and would highly recommend it.

Best Christmas Trip
We went Christmas week and it was absolutely perfect!
The site is lovely and wee maintained and staffed. The house was exceptionally clean, complete home from home and everything was available. The info book was excellent with full details on local details.
Clare had added extra touches with a lovely card and chocs! Basic essential were even available for a coffee on arrival.
The beach, club, pub, pool....all a short walk away. It was perfect for dogs too. Please bear in mind my pictures were Christmas week!

Lovely relaxing weekend away
We were very happy with the accommodation cleanliness, open plan layout. The children were delighted with the complementary chocolates. The property has everything that you need for your stay. We booked some on site activities like the Archery, crazy cars and the swimming pool. Saturday night we had a BBQ whilst the children played French Bowles. Silver sands beach is not too far away 10 minute walk we had a picnic on the beach whilst the children played in the sea.
We had such a lovely weekend we have booked again for next year! hope the weather is kind to us again.

Beautiful house perfect for a getaway
Our family of 4 have stayed here 3 years running, and it's becoming a must for a relaxing weekend (or week) away in an immaculately maintained house, full of seaside charm.
The downstairs is open plan from the kitchen to the living area, with bifolding doors going onto the patio and bbq area. The furnishings are all good quality and the house looks as though it has never been lived in.
The bedrooms are very comfortable, with blackout blinds and premium bedding.
The main estate which the property resides on is also emaculately maintained, and has all the facilities you need (pub/restaurant, cafe, pharmacy, gym, swimming pool,tennis courts, playground). It is very quiet and perfect for families.
The owners of the property are easy to deal with, very well organised and have thought of everything. They are clearly keen to make it a memorable experience for anyone staying there.
Highly recommended.

About the neighbourhood
Filey is a lovely, traditional seaside resort, with a children’s paddling pool, crazy golf course and donkey rides on the beach in high season. There are some amusement arcades on the Coble Landing down by the lifeboat station and a small children’s fairground along the promenade. There's also a pitch and putt green and a museum with displays showing the history and development of Filey.
Getting around
You can walk to the beach in just 10 minutes and walk right along into Filey town centre (watching the tides) There are bus stops just a 2 minute walk from the cottage which will take you into Filey/Scarborough or Bridlington. If you have a car there are lots of places to visit. RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Scarborough, and Bridlington.
