Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Great location for Northumberland coast
We stayed here with our 2 dogs 2/1 till 5/1. Cottage is well equipped (take your own tea and coffee). Beds were very comfortable, furnishing of a good standard. Welcome pack of freshly baked flapjacks, bottle of wine and fresh eggs from the farm we’re gratefully received. Great location for the coast and surrounding areas. Apple Inn at Lucker is a definite must. The food and staff were great and dog friendly. Bamburgh, Alnwick, Holy Island, Alnmouth, Warkworth. So many lovely places and beaches to visit we wished we booked longer. The only downside for us was one of the walls in the back garden was too low to let our dogs off. We already knew this but for people with well behaved dogs this won’t have a problem, we don’t sadly. It is everything it says on the tin and more. I highly recommend this venue I bet it’s stunning in the summer. Thank you Vicky for looking after us, our stay was very informative. There’s a large map/picture on the kitchen wall, with lists of places to visit, eat and dog friendly eateries which was very helpful.

Shearing cottage stay
Lovely peaceful location and a fab cottage with everything we needed for our stay. The welcome treats were lovely and as the weather wasn't great, we appreciated the electric blankets. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

Relaxing place to stay
The cottage is in a great location. Warm, cosy and with all you need for a relaxing stay. Close to beautiful beaches for our dog to run about on. Only down side for us was that the walks from the cottage weren't possible with our dog off the lead as there were cows in the fields surrounding the cottage in September. Would highly recommend this cottage. The owner, Victoria is very responsive to all requests and provided a lovely welcome on our arrival.

Excellent place to stay
We stayed here for 4 days. The accommodation and amenetied were as described. The place was clean with Welcome bottle of red wine, eggs and home made cookies - pleasant touch. The sheets, towels were clean and cottage which is set in very quiet surroundings allowed us to travel & walk along the coastal paths. Excellent uninterrupted wifi, which an intrepid traveller will like We will return to Northumberland next year and hopefully stay in this beautiful cottage. Thank you Victoria for excellent information, maps and books of local interest.

Lovely Cottage
This is an extremely comfortable cottage, we have had a lovely week here. You do need a car to get about as it is a few miles from Bamburgh and Seahouses in the beautiful quiet countryside. We did eat out most days and would recommend the White Swan in Warenford and The Castle in Bamburgh the food there was outstanding. All in all a great place to stay and visit and we will hopefully make a return visit.

A delightful cottage
This if the first property I have rented in the UK and I hope all future cottages are to this standard. The owner was really helpful and made our stay a total pleasure with the inclusion of some thoughtful additions. The cottage was very clean and in a peaceful location. The owner has provided plenty of maps and books relating to the local area. Simply put despite the poor weather we had a great week.
