The Old School sits in the tiny hamlet of Mordington Clappers, 4 miles inland of Berwick-upon-Tweed and dates back to the mid-19th Century and is a grade 2 listed building. It was converted in 2006 after many years as a School (until the 2nd World War) village hall and community centre. It retains many of it's original features including wood panelling and large sash windows.

The main house has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and a twin). There is also a self contained 'flat' to the rear of the main house providing spacious accommodation for 2 to 4 people which is ideal for a family group.

The internal layout of the main house is modern and benefits from central heating. The cloakroom/boot room leads to the large newly fitted and well equipped oak kitchen/breakfast room. This leads to a very large, open plan, lounge and formal dining...

What a find! The Old School is excellently appointed, comfortable and a very relaxing environment. Three generations gathered for a surprise birthday party and we cooked a full Sunday roast. Old School is in a great location to explore both Scotland and England. The home is in a very quiet area which was very nice to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. The entrance hall/boot room has fitted wardrobes to store boots and coats.

The living area in the main house is spacious, light, open plan and wood panelled and has a dining area, very spacious main lounge area and a further lounge area with a double sofa bed. The lounge has a TV, DVD player, Bose CD Player, books and games. There is a 3rd lounge area with a double sofa bed,, TV and DVD in the flat.

The children's play area in the lounge has a table and chairs where the Teacher Bear (Bruin) presides over activities! Children love to play school in the school!!

The Kitchen/breakfast room is newly fitted with modern oak units and a dining table. It is very spacious and well equipped and has a hob and oven, integral fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, a wine fridge, micro...
