Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Holiday cottage
The cottage was ideally located for our trip. It was beautifully clean and fresh on arrival. We unluckily had WiFi issues and TV needs channels sorting. The new router needed was replaced quickly. The toilet seat was broken but a new one was brought but not fitted so that didn’t help us. The owners didn’t have our information so that made it difficult to communicate quickly but I did have their number so called them, this however takes time and when on holiday not want you want. We thought the extras were a nice touch, dog biscuits, small hamper, homely cottage.

If you like the seaside you’ll love this.
Perfect location for us as we chose to travel by train and bus. Well stocked shop across the road which tided us over until we could go shopping. Regular bus from Berwick and stopped almost outside our door. Very close to the beautiful beach at Spittal. We hope to visit again.

Fabulous place!
A beautifully finished apartment with great facilities. We stayed with our dog and 3 year old daughter and found it perfect for a long weekend. The local beach is within view of the front door and the many stunning beaches of Northumberland within a short drive! Would definitely recommend.

Lovely!
Smashing ground floor apartment with small paved outside space for a couple who like walking and relaxing. The beautiful Spittal beach is practically on the front door and its within easy walking distance of the town centre of Berwick Upon Tweed with its shop and great walks around the ramparts, river and golf course. The Northumberland coastal path with cracking views from the cliff tops is at the end of the promenade. There is a handy shop and a pub minutes from the front door and several takeaways who deliver. Who could ask for more???! Not us! :)
