Less than half an hour from the cottage is the glorious Northumberland coastline, with highlights including Bamburgh Castle, the RNLI Grace Darling Museum,Beadnell Bay,the harbour at Seahouses, charming villages including Craster and Low Newton, and boat trips to the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. On entering this delightful and cosy cottage, built for the Archdeacon of Lindisfarne in 1706 and retaining several original features, you will find yourself in the pretty and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Tastefully furnished, with plenty of comfy seating,TV,DVD and a traditional wood burner, the light and airy lounge is an ideal space to relax in after a fantastic day exploring this beautiful area. You will also find a charming dining area, and the stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric hob and 2 small ovens, microwave, fridge with ice compartment,slim-line dishwasher and a washing machine. The narrow stairway leads directly into the beautiful and spacious master bedroom, with a king size luxury bed, seating, and plenty of storage space. There’s also a bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. Stepping outside, you will find the garden is deceptively large and has lots of interesting areas and places to stroll around, with lovely, mature shrubs, fruit trees and roses, including the beautifully romantic, deep cupped, pink 'Alnwick Rose'. There are two separate areas to sit outside and relax: the patio, which is immediately accessible from the kitchen and furnished with a table and chairs and also the sheltered, side courtyard area with park bench style seating. Parking is available in the lane directly outside the cottage. More
