The town also offers scenic parks, riverside walks, and the historic sights such as the remains of a castle, ancient architecture and churches and a chantry. Surrounding attractions include Druridge Bay to the east, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall which is to the west. For walking trips, there is access to the Simonside and Cheviot Hills amongst the tranquil countryside.More
