Converted Granary overlooking the Rede Valley and beyond to the Simonside Hills. Traditional, stone-built, upside down house with stone steps up the outside - kitchen and living area upstairs to capitalise on the panoramic views. Comfortable and homely with log burning stove in a cosy living room. Exposed beams and wooden floors upstairs. Spacious and well equipped. Ideal for a family of four (children over 7 please) or couples sharing. One double, ensuite bedroom with patio doors and fantastic views of the garden and beyond and one twin/double bedroom with zip and link bed that can become a king-size. During 2021 I am asking if guests are able to bring their own duvet to keep the house more Covid-secure. The large garden is filled with flowers and wild birds. There is a shallow pond with decking area and outside seating, ideal for summer barbecues and star gazing. The Granary is situated on a working farm 1 mile south of Otterburn village in the heart of the Kielder International Dark Sky Park and on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. Ideal location for Kielder Water and Forest Park, Hadrian's Wall, Scottish Borders', numerous National Trust properties including Wallington and Cragside, and Alnwick Castle and Gardens. The Northumberland Heritage coast is only a 1 hour drive. For outdoor lovers there is fabulous walking in the Cheviot Hills and a range of trails within 5 miles of the farm. Cycle paths and mountain bike tracks aplenty at Kielder and sections of the Reivers Cycle Route are accessible as well as miles of country lanes in the North Tyne and Coquet valleys . There is a golf course at Bellingham , 8 miles away, and fishing available on the river Rede and at Kielder reservoir. More
