You don't even need a car, this beautiful village has everything you're likely to need within easy walking distance. The space The kitchen/dining room overlooks the back garden and has sleek, black granite worktops with plenty of preparation area. The appliances include a washing machine, dishwasher, electric Rangemaster cooker with ceramic hob, integrated fridge/freezer, toaster and a microwave oven. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine - with four capsules to get you started. The kitchen is equipped with a great range of cooking and baking equipment. There is a rustic dining table and chair set which comfortably seats four people. In the spacious lounge there is a wonderful inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove, a large sofa with two very comfortable armchairs. A long zinc desk provides space to work on a laptop (wi-fi is installed for fast internet and email). The entertainment system includes a smart TV, DVD player and a Sonos music system. The stairs are carpeted and have a handrail but they are fairly steep and may be unsuitable for someone with mobility difficulties. The master bedroom is styled in soft, relaxing greys and has a kingsize bed and ample wardrobe and storage space. There are two comfortable window seats overlooking the garden. The smart, modern en-suite bathroom has a large, double-ended bath, a wc and a hand basin. The second bedroom has two full-sized single divan beds and plenty of storage space. The en-suite bathroom has a spacious shower, large handbasin and wc. Both bedrooms are fitted with venetian blinds as well as Roman blinds to enable you to control light levels. The bedrooms have a view to the garden. Outside Sun Cottage there is a pretty garden, albeit in its first year! There is a patio at the end of the garden with table, chairs and parasol seating four people. There is also a little summerhouse and a barbecue. A bench outside the backdoor of the cottage provides a pleasant space by the herb garden to enjoy an early morning coffee. There is a right of way running behind Sun Cottage which gives our lovely neighbour access for bin collection and her bike. There is parking for one car and plenty of space in front of the cottage for another. Interaction with guests I live twenty minutes away in the village of Blockley and will be happy to greet you on arrival and to answer your questions or help with anything you need. We have a key safe by the backdoor, so if you wish you can let yourselves in. Other things to note There are logs and firelighters provided for your first night and toiletries are provided for your first day. There will be milk in the fridge, nespresso capsules for the morning and a couple of treats to get you started. More

About the neighbourhood
Kingham is a totally beautiful Cotswold village in Oxfordshire. Voted best village in the UK by Country Life magazine. There are two amazing Gastro Pubs in the village within walking distance of Sun Cottage The Wild Rabbit and The Kingham Plough, both serving top class food, they also welcome children and dogs. There is the famous Daylesford Farm Shop just down the road. Such a wonderful place to visit, you can even have a Spa Day or spend a day on a cookery or florestry course. Wonderful organic shopping and beautiful household goods. There are lots of wonderful country walks, fascinating gardens and houses to visit. Also the Rare Breeds Farm Park run by Adam Henson. There is something for everyone, Golf,Horse Racing,Biking.
Getting around
A car is useful, but if you wish to abandon your wheels you can still have a very pleasant weekend at Sun Cottage. There is a main line train station from London just outside Kingham. There is a village shop and the local pubs and Daylesford all within walking distance. There are electric bikes on hire just across the road from the cottage.
