Keen's Cottage is simply delightful!
Set in the 'West End' of this award winning village in the heart of the Cotswolds, the cottage is a classic 18th Century cottage furnished in an attractive and traditional style making it ideal for either families or two couples looking to visit this (popular) area. There are many modern touches mixed with comfortable features that make this a real stand out holiday cottage.

Its location down a little lane and within a traditional terrace of cottages is both peaceful and convenient, particularly for two superb and highly revered pubs which are less than 5 mins walk away.
Internally the property was recently renovated to provide a new conservatory/dining room and new kitchen alongside the stunning inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove. Upstairs are two good sized bedrooms with two...

Reviewed 27 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed in Keen's Cottage for 3 nights in August. It is situated in the picturesque village of Kingham, which has a handy shop and a very good pub. The house itself was lovely, and decorated to a higher standard than expected from the photos we had seen. The kitchen was a little on the small side, but high spec and perfectly adequate for the length of time we were there. The beds were really comfortable and showers nice and hot. The only issue with the rooms was a lack of space for putting away clothes and suitcases. There is a courtyard with a table and chairs which was a real bonus, allowing us to eat outside as the weather was so warm. I would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

About the neighbourhood
Kingham is a beautiful unspoilt Cotswold village with a large open green and some elegant stone and thatch cottages mostly dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is situated in the Evenlode valley in Oxfordshire and is a short drive from the more well known town of Chipping Norton. It is a thriving village with a good sense of community and was voted the UK's Village of the Year by Country Life a few years ago. As well as the pubs there is a good village store and an attractive church.

The village is unique amongst Cotswold villages, because it is served by a main line railway station about a mile from the village, the mainline railway station provides regular services to London with services operated by First Great Western Link. Of particular note is the The Kingham Plough whi...
