Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Fantastic New Year Stay
We booked here after researching family friendly places for a new year break. 3 adults and 2 children were given a fantastic welcome and accommodation in a converted stable was warm, cosy and spacious enough. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook a meal - and a huge fried to store food. There are 2 very clean loos on site as well as a shower in the family home which can be used. The food we had was superb, especially the breakfast - full English as well as being treated to home made pancakes. Steve and Katrina who run things are very friendly and great with kids - our girls enjoyed toasting marshmallows and messing around outside - we went for a lovely walk and the area is lovely and peaceful yet within reach of Oswestry for extra supplies. This was a new year break for us - and a real effort was made on the night for everyone to enjoy themselves. We are definitely returning when the weather gets warmer to experience a yurt.

Fantastic 3 nights Glamping
My son and I had a fantastic 3 night stay in stable Stephanie, very comfortable and spacious. We came for a single parent takeover and Katrina and Steve made sure we all had a great time, we were very well fed and all the children were kept entertained. Great company in a Perfect location for a relaxing break with stunning scenery. My son did ask if we could live in the stable forever! A very relaxing break Accommodation: warm, comfortable, spacious and fun sleeping in a stable Food: Excellent, full cooked breakfast and pancakes, sandwich lunch, hot eve meal plus snacks, fruit, drinks all day. Dietary needs catered for. Entertainment: Ball games, hula hoops, treasures hunt, quiz, dancing, walks, feeding the pigs, toasted marshmallows etc.... Owners are very friendly, the whole family help out and go out of their way to ensure a fun relaxing break is had by all. Would highly recommend as a relaxing family get away.

Aw, thank you. We enjoyed having you. All of you were just brilliant guests. I could hardly believe none of you had met until you arrived here on Monday afternoon. You all seemed like old friend within a couple of hours. Hope to see you again sometime.

Potentially great
Having just stayed in Yurt Bronwyn I can safely say that the accommodation is great. Spacious yet cosy, well insulated and comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 people! The owners were very friendly and knew the surrounding area well. They were very accepting of the dog and helpful in recommending walking routes, places to eat etc. The farm itself is lovely! Particular highlights are the cute Kune Kune pigs and the beautiful horses. The only real drawback was the facilities. Having spoken to the owners I understand that there are plans to improve these, but the existing cooking, shower and bathroom facilities wouldnt be able to cope with full capacity very comfortably - one shower and two toilets between possibly as many as 20 guests or more. It seems that everything is luxury until it comes to the basics where we're reminded that 'it is camping after all'! Its not camping prices, thats for sure! With a little thought and some time this could be a real gem of a getaway site. Less wifi more basic amenities please.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it. The main reason we have not added more toilet and shower facilities yet is that we are a rural property on a private water supply and septic tank that cannot be over-used. This means we need to be mindful of water use -- but as we try to be as green as possible, that's no bad thing. We also recycle as much as possible, compost our animal waste and give away free of charge and have a fabulous vegetable garden. Two toilets (one in a full indoor bathroom with power shower and the other a very nice flushing portable toilet) significantly exceeds government guidelines for camp sites with 6 pitches. Most guests don't seem to be worried about showering every day. The only time we see congestion is if several people want to shower at the same time in the morning. The addition of the portable toilet solved completely the issue of folks having to wait to use the loo. The camp kitchen is on the small side but it is quite well equipped with double drainer sink, hot water, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge-freezer, boiling rings, space for food preparation and pots, pans, dishes, plates, mugs, utensils, cutlery etc. We have just added a second fridge in the long barn and, of course, we have bbq/fire pits that many guests use for cooking. Out of interest and because we strive to improve, we often ask our guests what makes us a "glamorous" camping site. Three themes arise consistently (1) real beds made up ready to sleep in (2) not having to bring loads of stuff (3) power, heating and Wi-Fi, which many guests say they could not manage without. :-) We have also researched and found our prices -- for the facilities we provide -- are cheaper than many other glamping sites. We'd love to welcome you back in a year when, hopefully, we will have secured planning permission (the decision is way overdue) and installed spiffy new bathroom facilities.

WOW! - Glamping in STYLE!
We have never camped as a family so we didn't know quite what to expect but I have to stay our expectations were significantly exceeded. Your hosts Katrina and Steve could not have been any more welcoming making us part of their extended family and the large Yurt we stayed in had everything you could need when camping and also had electricity and wi-fi! - WOW!! The view from the farm is stunning and typical of the area and if you can stop & listen the only sound you here is silence. Peace! We opted for a meal supplied by the hosts on our stay and the food was of the highest quality and great VFM and we ALL as a family polished of the tasty food. We even had a choice of suites which were home made. (Jam Tarts for the kids). They have a Pancake challenge for breakfast which my kids were very keen to try and facilities are very good consider you are in the peace of a welsh valley. I know they have only just opened and are looking to expand but we had a great time whilst staying at BARNUTOPIA

Fantastic weekend under the stars
We were the first official guests at this venue and we had the best weekend ever. The yurt was clean, spacious and comfortable. Catrina and Steve were extremely good hosts and very keen to build up a successful business. Any suggestions we made they were very happy to receive. Surrounded by sheep and lambs, no traffic. Blissful. Thoroughly recommend and we will be going back.
