Once a farm building, the Cowshed is now a delightful, all-year-round, 2 bedroom holiday home providing spacious accommodation for 4 in a tranquil setting 2 miles from Dulverton. At an elevation of 1000 ft asl it affords lovely views over the Barle Valley and to Dartmoor. It is a 3 mile walk to Tarr Steps and the Exmoor Pony Centre is just up the road. Located about 2 miles from Dulverton, in a quiet rural road with little traffic, this place is very well equipped and comfortable, with good background heating from storage radiators. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and two bathrooms. Excellent TV with Freeview channels plus DVD player....More

We arrived on Friday and was delighted with accommodation. It was remote, quite and peaceful with lovely views. Everything you could wish for in accommodation. With lovely lemon drizzle cake left for us, Would definitely recommend and hope to go back some day,

Beautiful tranquil location yet 5 minute drive to all amenities. The Cowshed is spacious with super comfy beds, beautifully looked after and excellent Wi Fi. What is there not to like!

Dulverton has a good variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and tea rooms The National Park Centre in Dulverton is open every day. Whether you enjoy walking, fishing, horse riding, cycling, water sports or browsing round the towns and villages, you will find all the information you want here. The Two Moors Way and the Exe Valley Way meet at Tarr Steps with the Exe Valley Way running along the Barle valley below the Cowshed through Marsh bridge and on to Dulverton.
How to get there
The most convenient Motorway access is junction 27 on the M5 (Tiverton). The run up the Exe valley from Tiverton to Dulverton is particularly striking. Using sat nav for the post code TA22 9QE is most useful but the post code centre is actually about 1 mile further along the lane past the Cowshed.
