Wheddon Cross, Exmoor National Park, England
North Wheddon Farm is an ideal base to access the Exmoor and Devon area with fantastic coastline, moorland and woodland just minutes way. The scenery from North Wheddon and the surrounding area is simply stunning. The farm has a natural harmony with a gentle rhythm of bygone times with eggs to collect, animals to pat, there's always something to see, with plenty of space and time to enjoy.

Farthingwood Barn comfortably sleeps up to six people. Large and spacious, perfect for families or couples who want that little bit extra. There is a cobbled area where our farmyard friends wander freely so there is always something to admire! At the rear of the property there is a garden which overlooks the lower paddock, where you will find more friendly farm animals, duck pond, and a truly fantastic view. Parking is to the sid... We wanted to take our 3 grandsons down to Somerset, found Farthingwood Barn, it was perfect such a beautiful place the barn was very well presented and equipped for self catering needs. We were Made very welcome by Rachel who had supplied butter, jam and milk and fresh bread being made in the bread maker, our grandsons loved being able to help Rachel feed the chickens, ducks, goats and pigs, but mustn't forget thunderbolt the goose who took charge of the yard, we were able to easily get to all locations over exmoor. Views from the barn are also spectacular and we all slept well in the comfortable beds with just the peace and tranquillity of the country side. I would thoroughly recommend Farthingwood Barn.

We look forward to welcoming you to North Wheddon Farm. The route we would always suggest from the North and East is to travel down the M5 to Junction 25 or the A303 meets at this point. Follow the A358 Minehead road around Taunton. Just past Cedar Falls (posh health club!) turn left signposted Wheddon Cross. Shortly after Ralegh Cross Inn take a right hand turning signposted Wheddon Cross (B3224). Enter the village and turn left at the crossroads onto the A396. Pass the Moorland Village Hall on your left and North Wheddon Farm is the next turning immediately on the right. Continue down the steep drive, round a sharp bend, past the stable block and here you will find plenty of parking.

If coming from the South leave the M5 at Junction 27 and follow the A396 up the vall... more
