There are many walks from the doorstep of this cottage, set within the boundaries of Exmoor National Park. Hope Cottage is the ideal rural haven that you would expect from a holiday on Exmoor. Located just outside the pretty village of Winsford, this detached cottage-style bungalow is surrounded by its own gardens and small wooded area. Winsford, which is a short drive or brisk walk from the cottage, has a village shop, popular pub and a tea room. With its thatched cottages and ford in the middle of the village, there is plenty to see. The cottage is set within the boundaries of Exmoor National Park, and there are some lovely walks from the cottage into the surrounding countryside and moorland. Looking towards the coast, there is the medieval town of Dunster with its castle (NT) and onto the coastal town of Minehead, which has a wide range of shops and amenities, as well as the West Somerset Railway and beach area. Other areas of interest close by are Porlock and Porlock Weir and further along the coast are Lynton and Lynmouth, the two towns being connected by the Victorian cliff railway. Shop and pub 1 mile.
