We have just returned, after spending a fantastic Christmas week in this well equipped, warm, comfortable and friendly house with our family. Great location. Stayed here last weekend. The house is well equipped and a couple of minutes walk from the beach. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable.

The villages of West and East Wittering lie to the east of the entrance to Chichester Harbour.

With gently sloping, clean, sugar-white sands and pebble beaches, calm waters and a balmy microclimate, the area is an uncommercial family paradise, sheltered by the Isle of Wight and the South Downs. The waters are very popular with surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders and the area has numerous places to hire equipment from and organise lessons.

East Head near West Wittering is a small but significant sand and shingle spit at the entrance to Chichester Harbour. It is one of the last pieces of natural coastline in the county. Ferry: Portsmouth: 23.0 km
West Wittering is situated on the coast, 6 miles south of the Cathedral City of Chichester. Chichester has a main line railway station which provides a regular service to London Victoria in about 1 hour 45 minutes and to Gatwick in about 1 hour 5 minutes. An alternative, slightly faster rail service to London is also available from Havant in about 1 hour 20 minutes to London Waterloo. Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton are all easily reached along the coast. The area is well served from Chichester with the A27 (M27) coastal route and A3 to London.

Portsmouth provides a cross channel ferry link to France and Spain while airports are situated at Gatwick, Southampton and Bournemouth.
