Rylstone, New South Wales
“Camphill Cottage” as it has been known in the district since 1860 - is not just a farm stay - it’s an echo of a time zone - one of confident simplicity, dramatic landscapes and birdsong chorus. Situated a five minute drive from the cafes, antique shops and old pubs of historic Rylstone, it is the ideal option for those seeking peace, privacy, space and authenticity.

This charming, rustic cottage offers two queen size bedrooms and a large mezzanine loft with two single beds (sleeping a total of six). All beds are endowed with quality manchester and electric blankets. The large living area is equipped with a cosy wood fire and reverse cycle air conditioner. A glass enclosed verandah on the northern side looks out over a large dam to the mountains and at sunset will still the buzziest mind. The eastern verandah looks toward original hayshe...

Interaction with guests
I like to greet my guests, not to be intrusive but to be social. I love to give my tips to people on where to go and what to see in the region face to face. I also like to let guests know that I am just across the paddock should they assistance. Then I leave them in peace. I sometimes drop in when they are leaving to say good-bye and ask for feed back on their stay. I love to offer whatever excess I have in the vege garden to take home as most live in small city houses too small for vege patches

Thanks so much Yann for taking the time to write this review. I thoroughly enjoyed hosting you and your family/friends. Please know that you are most welcome back anytime. How about October for some kayaking on the Cudgegong River? The challenge is out there!

About the neighbourhood
Wine growing and gourmet food area. There are also plenty of national parks around which offer kayaking, swimming and water pursuits. There are olive groves, antique shops, horse studs, motor cross bike riding, mountain bike riding trails, birdwatching, gold panning. The area is alive with history and natural wonders. The problem is getting around to it all - so come and stay for a couple of weeks.
Getting around
You really need a car or a set of wheels....even a push bike will do because the area is packed to the gunnels with things to do.
