ABOUT THE SPACE This is a custom designed dwelling that has benefited from significant additions and upgrades over the years. Clad in cedar shakes, and filled with natural light, this is a unique, private and beautiful little house. 1. FRONT PORCH / DRIVEWAY You will have full use of a long driveway which could accommodate several vehicles (in a line) or easily harbor an RV, trailer, or other large vehicle. The lodge is located at the end of the driveway, behind some large conifer trees. The front porch is a wooden deck and there is a bench next to the front door. 2. THE KITCHEN The front door opens into the kitchen, which has clay Saltillo tiles underfoot and a high rough cut cedar ceiling overhead, and a big skylight that brightens the entire room. Vines wrap around the bannister and hang from the walls. Granite countertops, lots of cupboards and all the accessories in this full kitchen allow you to cook to your heart's content. A 'ship's ladder' takes you up to the loft bedroom, which overhangs the kitchen. 3. THE LOFT BEDROOM Since the main bedroom is accessed by a ship's ladder, this room would be difficult to accommodate anyone with mobility issues. But for those that don't mind a steep staircase the loft bedroom is an absolute delight! A south facing window and skylight offer views of the forested ridgelines that surround our place, which you can see while laying in the queen sized bed. A full built-in closet and cozy 'book nook' for reading or relaxing make this upper deck bedroom a one-of-a-kind. We call it the Owl's Nest, and it sleeps two very comfortably. It is a surprisingly spacious room (if you are short enough to walk under the exposed ridge beam and rafters 6'6" overhead). 4. THE BATHROOM Elegant and simple with a stocked shower and beautiful green glass sink. A First Aid Kit and extra toiletries are located in the shelves and cabinets. 5. THE LIVING ROOM Take two steps down from the kitchen hall to reach the living room. There is sleeping available for 2 on a comfortable futon mattress, normally your couch. And, an adult sized beanbag chair. This is also the game room, fully stocked with many classic and contemporary board games, a TV, Roku access to your log in online streaming accounts, we provide Netflix and more. Sunny bay windows look west, out to your own personal side yard, and glass French doors open east to a covered back patio. 6. THE BACK PATIO / ZEN GARDEN The back patio is a indoor/outdoor space that provides a comfortable covered seating and eating area, and blends into a custom Pacific Northwest style Zen garden, which is filled with interesting plants and artwork. It is a wonderful place to spend some time outside relaxing, listening to the chirping of birds in the morning or watching the stars and moon at night. Tiki torches can be lit and electronics plugged in. The garden hosts a collection of rare and unusual ferns and shade plants growing out of the stonework and from big wooden barrels. Round river rock and a colorful gravel path takes you around the corner to the side yard. 7. SIDE YARD The fenced side yard can be easily accessed either from the front yard or from the back patio. It gets great afternoon light and can be used for lawn games, sunbathing, kicking the soccer ball around, etc. 8. BEARS DEN BEDROOM From the private back patio you can access the bonus room, here we have a queen sized bed made with fresh bedding laundered in entirety between each guest, for two additional ultra comfortable sleeping spaces. We also have charging for android and iPhone in this room, a yoga mat and foam roller and Bo staff for working out and stretching, unwinding and relaxing. We want our lodge to celebrate the spirit of the Pacific Northwest bioregion, so we have lots of maps, books, and artwork from Cascadia all over the place. We want this lodge to serve as the launching point to your adventures in the area, are we genuinely hope you enjoy your stay!

Great!!!!!
This was definitely the cutest lodge I’ve ever stayed in!!! The loft was my favorite. The owners went above and beyond by stocking the fridge and bathroom with everything we needed- shower stuff, band aids, extra toothbrushes and toothpaste, snacks, fresh eggs!! If we ever find ourselves in Eugene again, I would 1000% stay here.

About the neighbourhood
South East Eugene is arguably the nicest part of town. We are tucked in a little valley on a south facing slope, on a very quiet dead-end street very little traffic and lots of wildlife around the house. The neighborhood is ideal if you like peace and quiet. It actually feels like you are out of town, even though everything you will need is just minutes away. A 5-minute drive or less will take you to: * Some of the city's best culinary hotspots (Chef's Kitchen, Hideaway Bakery, Mazzi's, Tasty Thai, Laughing Planet, Kung Fu Bistro, etc. * Several shopping centers to choose from (Market of Choice, Capella's, Safeway, Albertson's) * Easy access to extensive outdoor recreation (Ridgeline Trail, Amazon Jogging Trail, city bike path network, almost a dozen excellent public parks, the Amazon swimming pool, a skate park, etc.) * Recreational Cannabis dispensary (Amazon Organics) * Laundromat A 10-minute drive will take you... almost anywhere in town... but especially: * Interstate 5 highway (I5) * University of Oregon campus * Lane Community College main campus on 30th avenue * Downtown Eugene * Lane Events Center * Skinner's Butte (Eugene's lookout point) * Spencer Butte (Eugene's local peak)
