Interaction with guests
We want all our guests to have a great time. We try to meet with all guests when they arrive to hand over keys, show people around and answer any questions about the local area. Sometimes this isn't possible in which case we make other arrangements for key collection. We provide information in all cottages on facilities on site and the local area. We live on site (although we are not there 24/7) and we are happy to answer questions about the local area and suggest places to visit. We aim to be unobtrusive but helpful so guests can get on enjoying their holiday as they want to.

Superb cottages. Outdoor pool great for the children. Perfect location - only 10 minutes from Bude beach. Faye and Bernardo always on hand if any issues. Had a superb holiday once again (was our 6th year) and already booked for next year.

Nice pool, perfect area. BUT Dirty cottage: Spiders, cobwebs, dust, fungus, we couldn't lock the front door, even a Mouse came by in the living area. This place needs much more attention and cleaning.More

About the neighbourhood
We are in a peaceful rural location on the edge of a small village with a pub and small community shop. We are about 10 minutes' drive from the coast and the small seaside town of Bude. Here you can pick up the South West coastal path and enjoy the spectacular scenery or just choose a beach where you can spend the day. Try the Sea Pool on Summerleaze Beach in Bude. We are close to Widemouth Bay which is a popular surfing beach and there are plenty of other watersports available locally. Bude has restaurarants, pubs and shops. Further afield, Padstow, Clovelly, Tintagel, Boscastle, the Eden Project are all within an hour's drive with the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock and Cotehele a bit further away.
Getting around
We are not on any major public transport routes. The nearest mainline train station is Exeter or Plymouth (about an hour away). There are infrequent bus services to Exeter, Plymouth and Barnstaple from Bude.

The area is best explored with a car. We are a few minutes from the A39 which connects you to North Devon and the rest of North Cornwall.
