About the neighbourhood
Oofoo's is on the edge of Mullion - a pretty little village on the Lizard peninsula. Mullion has 2 small supermarkets and a range of other shops, as well as several pubs. It is 5 miles to Helston - a scenic market town with a range of bigger shops. The cathedral town of Truro is 25 miles and the sea-faring town of Penzance is 20 miles. The Lizard peninsula is renowned for its sites of special scientific interest - rocky coves, heather-strewn upland moors, pretty wooded lanes. There are plenty of sporting activities including fishing and golf. In this part of western Cornwall, you are never far from the sea - and the coastal path is a spectacular experience. There are pretty places to visit on the south coast, including Porthleven, Mousehole and Sennen Cove, whilst it is a short drive t... more
