Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Great Location for North Cornwall
Second time we've stayed at Pebble Cottage, perfect for exploring the beaches anywhere around Newquay up to Padstow and right up to Tintagel Castle. House is in a small quite complex where the children can play safely outside and its got everything you need. Clean and well kept, perfect place for a family break.

Beautiful, peaceful and clean. Ideal for a quiet getaway.
The location is amazing, the cottage is clean, tidy, quiet, peaceful and spacious.  Beautiful green out the front which is ideal for kids and dogs.  Short drive to the nearest beach (Rock) and short drives from Padstow and Newquay.  We had an incredible week staying here, worth every penny.  Very family friendly and we will definitely be visiting again!

Lovely as ever, beautiful views and cosy property
We recently stayed here for the second time and it was just as perfect as the first time. It is only about a 5 minute car journey to the gorgeous beaches of rock, daymer bay & polzeath, we walked along all 3 every day with our dog & he had the best time and didn’t want to come home! The property itself is lovely and very cosy, and I would definitely recommend this property as an excellent holiday cottage and brilliant base for anyone wanting to explore Cornwall!

Great Location - Great Cottage
Thoroughly enjoyed our 4th stay at Pebble Cottage. Lovely cottage set in beautiful surroundings. Cottage is fully equipped for your stay with thoughtful touches from the owners. Fantastic base with easy access for everything Cornwall has to offer - even after the 4th visit we will still be going back to re-visit our favourite places and tick off the ones we have missed.

Just Perfect
My wife and I stayed here for four nights. The accommodation was very good and had everything we needed. Julie’s communications up to our stay were good and full of info to enjoy our stay. A query we had whilst there was answered swiftly too. Around the cottage was well tended and would be lovely in the summer. A great base for exploring the beaches of the North Cornish Coast.

Perfect dog friendly cottage
Have just returned from a week at Pebble Cottage. Cottage was warm, cosy and clean. Beds were amazing, very very comfortable. Fully equipped with everything we needed. could not fault the cottage at all. Very peaceful location, before we booked we knew dogs had to be kept on a lead around the cottages, understandably as not everyone wants dogs running around a communal area! At the rear of the cottages is a small wooded area where you can walk your dogs. We went out every day to the different beaches and coves, lovely location. Will definitely be returning.

Great cottage but NOT for dog owners
Firstly, let me say I cannot fault the accommodation interior. Clean, fully fitted throughout and with great wifi. Where it fails is in the exterior description. If you have a dog and in the description it states private courtyard then I think it fair to assume that you can open the back door and let Fido out first and last thing in the day. It does not need to be palatial but small and secure, just what 'Private Courtyard' suggests. Well there is not one. What presumes to be a private courtyard is in fact a bench under a window on top of some paving that is open to the driveway of all the properties at thr front of the building. No security at all. To access this you have to walk around the entire stable block, there is no door from the property onto it. I thought about climbing through the window but alas my commando days are over and I don't think the dog fancied it either. The communal area is huge but also well signposted stating all dogs to be kept on leads at all times. Great, so basically Bonzo is bound to his lead and collar all the while at Pebble Cottage once his nose sticks out the door as you have to access the communal area to reach your open plan courtyard. None of this I mind if it was mentioned anywhere in the description. It is not. What it does say is 'Pets allowed' and 'Well behaved dogs with responsible owners are welcome'. Watch out if you like privacy from your patio at Pebble Cottage, there is none. You basically share the same space as the adjoining cottage and sit in front of their patio windows so I hope you are a social animal if you stay. This review is not meant to be scathing as the location sits in the middle of some of the most beautiful shoreline in the UK and we had a fab time. But please, make the accommodation description a bit more accurate. These facts are crucial to dog owners when choosing their holiday destination.

We are sorry to hear that the outside areas of the cottage were not suitable for yourselves and Bonzo, we have revisited the listing and tried to be more clear regarding the garden area. We do hope that you discovered the many beaches and walks nearby where your dog was able to have fun and run free.

Fantastic Week Away at Pebble Cottage
I booked Pebble Cottage for a week to take my family and dog away and hopefully for us to learn to surf!. The cottage was very clean and well presented and had everything we could hope for (even a playstation to keep the kids amused!) The cottage was set in large grounds with very easy access to Polzeth, Rock, Port Isaac and Wadebridge (all were just a short drive away) and Padstow was just a short trip by ferry across from Rock. The Rock Inn was probably one of our favourite places to eat look out over the estuary and Blue Tomato was great for breakfast (loved the cinnamon toast!). The location and cottage were perfect and there were lots of walks for the whole family (including the dog). I would have no hesitation in recommending Pebble Cottage and we will be going again soon - need to brush up on my surfing :)

Lovely accomodation - perfect location
We were a family of 4 (2 boys ages 11 and 15) and a dog and we stayed for a week of the Easter holidays. The accommodation was lovely - it's set in a block of 8 or so others. The open plan area downstairs was plenty enough space for all of us. The dining table was lovely and big. And the sofas were comfortable. We didn't use the washing machine and thought that it would've been better to have had a dishwasher as we really missed that home comfort! We didn't have the best weather whilst we were there, but the heating worked perfectly well. The accommodation was nice and warm when the heating was on. My son found the bed fairly uncomfortable, but he slept on one of the blankets that we brought with us and then it was fine. The shower was really lovely and powerful, although we are not used to a seperate shower cubicle and kept accidently turning it off in the middle of a shower!! The hot water was plentiful. Although it was lovely to have a roll top bath, it was a little short for me (I'm 5 4). It's not entirely clear from the listing that although there is a secluded rear garden, you cannot access this from the property. It is also not enclosed. We were not aware before booking, howeve there are signs on the property saying that dogs must be kept on leads in the area - outside the front of the property is a lovely open apce. Our dog would've loved to have had a run around out here! The location was perfect for exploring nearby. Rock was a 5 minute drive, Wadebridge 10 minutes and Port Isaac about 15. The area that it is set in is beautiful. The coastline in the area is stunning.

Thank you for your review. We’re glad that you enjoyed your stay but are sorry that you found the single bed uncomfortable, this is the first feedback we’ve had of this nature. Whilst dogs should be kept on leads around the property for the respect to other guests who may or may not be dog lovers, we do hope that you discovered the many beaches close by where dogs can run free and have lots of fun.

Lovely well equiped cottage - perfect location for touring Cornwall
Spent a lovely week at Pebble Cottage, the cottage is very clean, well equipped and is a perfect location to explore Cornwall. Great for coastal walks or even hopping on the ferry to get to Padstow. The grounds around the cottage are well kept, quiet and the cottage is very spacious. Seating and beds are super comfy and the bathroom has both a bath and a powerful shower! Will definitely be making a return visit.
