It comprises of a good sized dual aspect living room equipped with new modern furniture and technology with an eating area for four. Also available is free fast wifi, and complimentary games, books and DVD's, highchair and cot. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The entrance hall with stairs leads to two upstairs bedrooms and a large modern family bathroom with bath and shower cubicle. All linen and towels provided (beds made up for arrival, please bring own cot sheets). Coast/Beach: No. 2 Stippy Stappy is just a 5 minute walk to Trevaunance Cove, a large sandy beach at the foot of St. Agnes. Perfect for families, it’s great for rock-pools, surfing, and an evening drink as the sun goes down. The beautiful National Trust beach at Chapel Porth is only 2 miles away. At low tide you can walk from Chapel to Porthtowan beach. Perranporth beach (3.5miles) is huge and family/surfer friendly, Godrevy point (13 miles) is home to seal colonys where dolphins/porpoises are often seen. Travel: Newquay airport 35 minutes by car. Truro is 15 minutes by car and has a main line train station. Distances: Perranporth 4.5 miles, Truro 9 miles, Newquay 12 miles, St Ives 16 miles, Falmouth 13 miles, Gardens of Heligan and Eden project 20 miles, Lands End 28 miles. Further Details: We believe Aggie has everything. It's one of the most wonderful and vibrant communities in Cornwall. An unspoilt spot on the North Cornish coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage Site. It’s home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall and it’s got access to some stunning coast paths and walks. The town is full of independent shops, businesses and great places to eat. No. 2 Stippy Stappy's location means you can enjoy the best food and drink St Agnes has to offer without needing to get in your car. Here’s a selection of our local favourites: The Taphouse is lively and serves good food seven days a week. Genki is a lovely little beach hut with a license to chill less than 5 minutes away. Smoothies, cakes, paninis, fresh salads, tapas and beer and wine are all available and the best barista coffee in St Agnes. Driftwood Spars has open fires and stunning ale from their own award winning microbrewery just yards from Trevaunance Cove. Schooners beach front restaurant is a relaxed restaurant with the best views over Trevaunance Cove, serving big flavour small plates and craft ales and wine The St. Agnes Hotel is family run 17th century restaurant just a few yards away. Taste - In the centre of St Agnes and rated very highly by our regular guests! St Agnes Bakery has been baking fresh bread and pasties in the village since 1905. Four doors up from 2 Stippy Stappy Cornish Pizza Company does gourmet pizzas with locally sourced toppings. Traditional fish and chips from Fission Chips again, a few doors up from the cottage. Self catering is simple as there’s loads of local shops to cater for what ever you need within 100m with some open until 10.30pm daily. There's the excellent Churchtown Fruit and Veg, butchers, Boots and newsagent. There is a Sainsburys, Tesco and Morrisons all within 5 miles. If you fancy a surf lesson there’s more space to learn and enjoy surfing the beaches around here than heading up the coast to Newquay. We are delighted to be offering a weeks stay in our cottage to the children's cancer charity, Henry's Holiday help. This charity is very close to our heart and we are happy to be able to help raise funds by offering the cottage as a holiday prize. Parking: Like the majority of cottages in the centre of St Agnes we do not have private parking. There are four spaces on the roadside directly outside with space to unload. These spaces become available regularly as they are often used whilst people pop into the bakery a few doors up. Alternatively there are many roads nearby with free parking. Our preference is Trevaunace road less than 100 yards away where there is a always lots of roadside parking. There is also a large pay and display car park in the centre of the village, 2-3 mins walk from the cottage. The cottage is on a one way street. The town of St Agnes is hilly and no 2 Stippy Stappy is located on Town Hill at the top of the row of cottages that step steeply down the hillside.

Picturesque Cornish beauty, a home from home.
After a few hours thawing out on the couch this December we decided that No. 2 could well be credited with introducing the concept of the boutique self-catering holiday. As frequent visitors to St. Agnes we've often taken the picturesque Stippy Stappy path into town and having noticed the property on Trip Advisor we were keen to explore. Almost all eventualities seems to be catered for by the owners, from the garden area and optimistic barbecue outside, to the books, dvds and wi-fi in the house. A stone's throw from the centre of town, five minutes from the coast and more importantly, the Driftwood Spa (with its own microbrewery and roaring fires) No. 2 made for a perfect pre-christmas getaway and we can't wait to find another excuse to get back there. A total home-from-home, the only problem is dragging yourself away.

The perfect cottage
I thoroughly recommend staying here. I stayed in March when the weather was wet and windy yet the whole house was beautifully warm and we had an open fire in the evenings. Towards the end of our stay the weather brightened up and we sat outside. Very well equipped and similarly located. A short distance to the beach and coast path walks. St Agnes has a special feel to it. Friendly, well mannered people? Cornwall at its best.

Perfect short break
Stippy stappy is set in a most beautiful location, perfect for long walks in the sunshine. The cottage itself was beautiful, decorated tastefully, cosy and clean with all the mod cons you need for a relaxed time away. We had a lovely break and would defiantly recommend this cottage to friends and family. We hope to visit here again to explore the area more...there was so much to do!

Perfect cottage in the centre of the perfect Cornish village
We stayed here with our 2 boys (aged 2 and 5) for a week in the Easter holidays and had a fantastic time. The cottage is a perfect size for a small family, spotlessly clean with every amenity you could wish for. In the heart of St Agnes and within walking distance down the wonderful Stippy Stappy path down to the beach. Absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave.

A gem of a cottage in a beautiful spot in Cornwall
Just back from a wonderful week at no. 2 Stippy Stappy. The cottage is delightful. Beautifully decorated, perfectly equipt and cosy. The town is equally beautiful and unspoilt. I havn't slept quite that well for a while. Beds were lovely and comfortable! We really couldn't fault it and would love to stay again.

fantastic cottage in a perfect location
We had a wonderful week in this beautiful heritage cottage on 'Stippy Stappy', which is the ancient path to the beach at St Agnes. It is the best self-catering cottage we have ever stayed in - wonderful design touches, light and bright, every home comfort with super-comfy beds and fluffy towels. The owners have clearly put a huge amount of thought and effort into making it special: a well-written book with local recommendations, fresh flowers, biscuits, bluetooth speaker, artwork, decent TV, BBQ and all the tools. It's in a perfect location with a bakers, butchers and little supermarket less than a minute away (great for nipping out for fresh bread/sausages/more wine as required!) plus a short [steep] walk to Trevaunance Cove and it's beach and surf. A few great pubs and restaurants are also very close by - we loved Driftwood Spas for a pint after the beach, plus Taste in the village for a special supper. We did lots of walks straight from the front door to Chapel Porth Beach, St Agnes Beacon, Perranporth...this is a stunning part of North Cornwall to explore. We celebrated our son's first birthday here and it couldn't have been more magical, thank you. Highly recommend.

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location!
A beautiful cottage, kept immaculately. The owners attention to detail made it a step above others we have stayed in - everything has been thought of to make your stay so comfortable. A wonderful location - in the heart of a lovely village (and a minute away from the best ever bakery), and a short walk to a beautiful beach and cove. We ventured out and about in Cornwall but could have spent the entire week in St Agnes and been happy. Thanks!

Great family holiday!
We had an amazing end to our summer holidays with a week's stay at Stippy Stappy. The cottage was beautifully decorated and felt cosy and homely as soon as you arrived. It had everything you could possibly need to make your stay feel comfortable plus some lovely thoughtful little extras. The village itself is great and has everything you need from groceries, a butchers and a bakery a few doors up for morning pastries! There are loads of great restaurants to choose from, all with helpful write ups in the info book, so you never have to do the same one twice. Sadly Taste and No. 4 alluded us this time - you do have to book in advance - but we tried most the others and all good. There is a lovely little beach at the bottom of the hill where the kids loved playing in the surf and rock pooling. You could also grab a drink from the pub and some delicious fish and chips before stomping back up the hill. You can also walk on part of the coastal path to Chapel Porth beach which has a fab national trust cafe and then onto Porthowan beach enjoying stunning views all the way. We spent several days on Porthowan and loved it! It has a great shop, several lunch options and a fantastic ice-cream parlour so it made the perfect day out. The kids loved every second and became little surfer dudes so we can't wait to go back!

This is a great cottage in a great location in St Agnes. I know there are plenty of other reviews saying how great St Agnes is and they are correct. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Can't fault it.
