Awaken to a stunning view of trees and the sound of birdsong, and wander freely in the extensive private garden and woodland around the house. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, or a base from which to explore Cornwall, this house has it all. A warm welcome to The Old Stamps, a family home set within three acres of mature garden which is a delight in all seasons, with its wide variety of flowering shrubs and mature trees. Spring and early summer are particularly colourful with daffodils, primroses, camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas all taking their turn. There are many sitting areas for your enjoyment and outdoor dining, and an indoor play-room for children with telly, PlayStation plus games, table football, board games, books and DVDs for soggy days' entertainment. A traditional granite-stone house with huge beautiful garden, The Old Stamps takes its name from the 19th century Cornish tin stamps site on which it is built. The spacious family house includes a well equipped kitchen/dining room, containing both an aga and electric cooker, with separate utility room. The sitting room comfortably seats six and has TV with freesat, chrome cast, humax and dvd players. Upstairs you will find 3 comfortable bedrooms, all with stunning views, and a choice of a superking bed, or kingsize double, or two singles ( which can be made into another superking by prior arrangement). The bathroom is newly equipped with a state of the art shower and wide bath. The aga plus optional central heating keeps the house cosy all year round. There is free WiFi throughout. Situated on the outskirts of a pretty hamlet which has a children's playground and free tennis court, this rural idyll is within an easy drive of both North and South Cornish coasts giving you a choice of long sandy beaches or small smugglers' coves to explore. Nearby attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan provide hours of family entertainment, whilst the more adventurous can set off on the coastal footpath or go geo-cacheing in the beautiful countryside. Please contact us to tailor your stay or ask any questions about the cottage or location so you know what to expect, quotes are variable depending on your exact requirements.
