The Old School House, is a comfortable dwelling of rustic charm, peace, and beauty. At the turn of the century the residence of the village schoolmaster and today a place to escape and unwind. Placed in the heart of the hamlet of Porthpean in a wonderful rural setting, yet minutes from amenities, the School House is the perfect place for your holiday. The cottage has beautiful sea views from all the windows, a rambling country garden and a deck on which to have a drink and watch the wildlife. Buzzards circle overhead, house martins nest next to the bedroom window and in the field adjoining are rabbits, cows or sheep. Comfortable, well-equipped accommodation maintained to a high standard in a convenient location by friendly but discrete owners. We will return. St Levan's Church across the courtyard is charming, the congregation welcoming.

About the neighbourhood
St Austell is home to the historic China Clay industry however it is a market town which has become well known through immense public interest in The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Eden project.
