Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

A gem hidden away in the Endless Mountains
We rented the entire inn for a long week-end to have a sister reunion. The rate did not include cooked breakfasts, but the amazing Bonnie left a pastry in the refrig for us anyway. Hard to say enough about Bonnie's hospitality and friendliness. The inn itself is lovely-- every room has its own decor with all kinds of interesting touches, including pen and ink drawings by Bonnie's husband.
We were provided with lots of information about the area, things to do, take out menus, etc. etc. The kitchen is well equipped, as was the refrigerator, although we brought our own food. The stone covered stone porch-- with rockers, adirondack chairs, and large picnic table-- was particularly lovely.
There are hiking trails, but even the local road running past dairy farms is a fun walk. Warning to city folk--remember to dress for, and spray for, ticks.
Although the closest village--Towanda--is certainly not the center of the universe, it is accessible by US Rte 6 which is a good road and a pleasure to travel in nice weather. There is a clearly marked sign for the turn-off from 6 to the inn.
One other bonus if you are a dog lover. The inn comes with two wonderful dogs although Bonnie was careful to inquire as to whether we were fond of dogs (we were). The border collie loves to play frisbee so that's a bonus exercise feature.
The views are gorgeous and would be particularly so in the fall. Strongly recommend Stone Mountain Inn!!

A Unique Step Back Into Time
Our family rented this Bed and Breakfast for a weekend to attend a wedding nearby. Stone Mountain Inn offers a most unique bed & breakfast experience flavored with a taste of history, all nestled in the scenic hills of PA. Your stay will be enhanced by the large covered porch with rocking chairs, a bonfire pit, open BBQ grill and relaxing atmosphere. You will wake to the aroma of a delicious hot breakfast being cooked to your satisfaction. The friendly hosts, Bonnie and Ed, have so tastefully restored this vintage home, and your comfort and enjoyment are their top priorities during your visit. As my grand-daughter said, "This is a really neat place!"
