Recently redecorated and updated, experience a truly locally sourced vacation where you can start your hike through 500 acres of woodlands right across the street, buy fresh produce at roadside stands and farms, sample local cheeses and great wines in exquisite rolling hill settings and buy lobsters right off the boat! Our goal with the cottage is sustainable living and connection to the outdoors. Our furniture and accessories are sourced locally and assembled with a designer's eye for function, comfort and beauty. We have a full-size kitchen with a comfortable dining area. The open plan Living Room is stocked with books, current magazines, and a flat screen TV equipped with Netflix and Amazon Prime. On the second floor we have a full bath with a Shower/Bath combination, two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with a twin day bed and trundle twin underneath to either act as a sitting room or spillover for a guest. The Living Room opens on to a 24 ft x 12 ft mahogany deck that overlooks a vernal pond and birdhouses, all of which are habited by wildlife. The photovoltaic solar panels are part of a pergola roof that provides shade control over a wonderful seating area, perfect for dinners al fresco. Walk out the door of our cottage and located across the street is Weetamoo Woods, a 500 acre preserve with beautifully groomed walking trails that wind through fields, woods, streams and reveal evidence of an old logging mill. The main heat and electrical source is Solar energy and our Radiant heat in the floor and in one wall on the second floor provides even, clean, comfortable heat. We are constructed of Structural Insulated panels (SIPS) which maintain the heat in the cooler months and the cool in the summer months. We are situated in a spectacular part of New England where all of the seasons are a feast for the beachcomber or the explorer. Our shore line is a playground for sun worshipers, surfers, sailors, sea shell gatherers and surf casters. The Cottage has access to at least 4 beaches within a 5 mile area. Tiverton and Little Compton both have busy harbors where boats can be moored. Westport Harbor is a beautiful destination for boats and day trippers wanting to buy Lobster right off the dock and the legendary harbors of Newport and Bristol, RI are nearby. Exactly 1/2 mile from the cottage and a pleasant walk is the Village of Tiverton Four Corners. Here you will find a wonderful coffee shop and deli located in a beautiful turn of the century building. There are decorative home shops, wonderful gift and card shops, a creative clothing boutique, a handmade pottery shop and much more for the enthusiastic Shopper. For Foodies: The Four Corners Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner both inside and out( weather permitting) and a trip to famous Gray’s Ice Cream is a must. The Milk & Honey cheese shop offers imported cheese and other related yummies. (Pair this with your wine from local wineries). The Meeting House at Four Corners is a treasure. This fabulous barn structure which sits on a rolling hill with a lazy pond and outdoor sculptures is the setting for concerts, antique shows, cultural fairs and can also be hired for weddings. And don't forget our local farm stands for seasonal produce and flowers. We are also located in New England Wine country and a day can be spent touring these wonderful wineries where one can taste great local wine in tasting rooms, tour the winery and sit outside where wine is offered with food from local food trucks. The country farm settings are fantastic and in the summer, concerts by local musicians are out on the lawn. Our favorites: Westport River Vineyard, Sakonnet Vineyard, Running Brook Vineyard, Coastal Vineyard and there are many more. Also for beer lovers, Buzzards Bay Brewery.More

About the neighbourhood
We're are located in the area called the Farmcoast, known for it's country beauty and farms reaching right down to the water. The beaches and waterways are divine as well as lots of preserved land for established walking trails. Weetamoo woods, a 500 acre preserve is directly across the street! We take pride in the many vegetable stands along the roadside offering fresh produce from our area!
Getting around
There are a lot of country roads to discover as well as local restaurants, wineries, beaches, walking trails and much more. A car is desirable or a bike as we are located on one of Rhode Island's best biking routes. If you are an outdoor person, this is your country!
