This updated and elegant condo is situated at High Point in Tamarron Resort just 17 miles North of Durango and is surrounded by natural beauty on all sides. It is ideal as an active vacation headquarters for 1-2 couples or as an incredible location for honeymooners. Kids are welcome and games and toys are provided for quiet evenings before the fire. The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel full-sized appliances and is fully appointed, including a new Keurig coffee maker. The living area features a high end leather sofa from Bassett, wood flooring, and a 6 x 17 square ft deck overlooking gorgeous mountain vistas. Great condo, great views
The unit was as pictured. Very clean, well equipped, beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable, quiet neighborhood. Having a washer dryer in the unit was very nice. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful place with gorgeous views
We really enjoyed our stay, my teenage son was so impressed that he wanted to move there permanently. The place is beautifully decorated and the views are great. There are hummingbirds in the trees nearby and the path along the golf course is really nice for walking. You are about 20 mins away from Durango and it is a great base for trips in the area. We really enjoyed visiting Mesa Verde and Telluride. The master bedroom has wonderful king size bed. The other bed is a sofa bed with an inflatable mattress. They also provide a very nice self inflatable mattress. We traveled with our 2 teenage kids so we used all of them. If you are really tall, like over 6'6" the Master shower may be a bit low. There have been fires in the surrounding area but the main view is still beautiful lush and green.

horrible
fire burned forest across from location. smoke risk was bad, with health issues don't go. plus do not stay with this person because she will not work with you. would not ever recommend renting something like this again.

This guest wanted a full refund on account of a fire that had threatened the Durango area in June. The fire was controlled in July and the resort and forest were open by the time of his stay. He simply didn't want to come due to residual smoke in the area. It is important to note that I gave full refunds to all of my June visitors, and that none of my other July guests cancelled. His booking was actually after another guest who had kept her reservation. He wanted a refund because of smoke. My contract clearly states that no refunds will be issued at the last moment, and that "acts of God" are not reasons for refunds. Even though my contract states this language, I did refund everyone in June. I do not think this man's rating is at all reasonable. He never even came to my condo, so how can he rate it? He is just expressing sour grapes that his vacation was ruined by a situation no one could foresee. At some point, when most reasonable people would deem the risk low, every owner is going to resume normal business. He agreed to the contract when he booked. He shouldn't be leaving a crappy rating when he knew exactly what the terms were, and chose to not avail himself of the opportunity to recreate at Tamarron. No other July guest has complained.

The accomadations was execlent. Loved the place.
We used navigation to find the place. Was easy to check in. Loved that it had a washer dryer. The Kureg is now clean. We gave it a good cleaning. Glad it was a lower access. My wife had surgery since the booking. She was wearing a boot on her leg. Just slowed her down.
Can not say anything bad about the place. I would do it again.

Great Time in the Fall
Fall is beautiful time to be in the surrounding mountains. Very enjoyable stay, can't wait to go back.

About the neighbourhood
The condo is located at Tamarron resort, 17 miles N of Durango, and only about 10 minutes from Purgatory Ski resort, which has numerous summer activities as well as all types of skiing in winter. The Tamarron Resort has recently undergone a major upgrade and now sports a beautiful new fitness. center, an indoor and outdoor pool, and a play area for kids. There is a golf course available and 2 tennis courts & a pickle ball court (rental fees & T times are extra charges.)

There is much information about the condo, the Tamarron Resort, and the Durango Community in my welcome materials. Trip Advisor does not allow me to share the link until you have made a reservation.

How to get there
Travel up Highway 550 past the Mile 39 marker. The turn-off to Tamarron is almost to the Mile 40 marker. You will take a right turn into a T intersection. Take the left fork and you will soon come to the Lodge, which is currently under renovation.
