About the neighbourhood
We live about 5km outside the next small village of Fintown and are linked via a mountainous back-road to the picturesque town of Glenties (20 mins drive). We are surrounded by forests, lakes, streams and rivers on the foot of Aghla mountain. We are located right beside a waymarked walking way called 'The Gaeltacht/Sli na Finne Way', which makes it a great place for walking and exploring. About half an hours drive from us we have several stunning beaches. The highest cliffs of Europe are nearby as well as Glenveagh National Park.
This is also an area well renowned for traditional music. Some famous fiddlers are living nearby and you will find regular traditional music sessions especially in the Glenties/Ardara area.
