About the neighbourhood
Laghey Blast Festival on May Bank holiday weekend symbolises the community spirit and hospitality of the village. There is a strong spirit of history and heritage told in local stories and people come from all over the world to get in touch with their Irish roots. Murvagh Beach in Laghey is pure strand With the exception of Donegal Golf club hidden behind the dunes, the only facilities are the sea and sand with views of the Blue Stacks and Donegal Bay. From Murvagh you can walk along the coast to Rossnowlagh which is a world surfing centre where you find hotels and restaurants. There are miles of roads winding through farms and hills to explore by bike or on foot. Laghey is near enough to Donegal Town, Ballyshannon, Bundoran and Sligo to fulfill your need for shopping or seaweed baths.
