Nestled at the very heart of Exmoor National Park is 'The Old Forge', a traditional and beautifully presented 2 bedroom cottage available for holiday lets all year round.

This newly renovated picture postcard cottage is situated in the quaint village of Exford. It is well-equiped and cosy with one master bedroom and a twin room along with a spacious living area and kitchen.

To the rear of the cottage is a private patio overlooking the stream leading onto the river exe, as well as a beautiful countryside view. The patio is fully equipped with wooden furniture and a small BBQ, so entertaining in this private haven is second to none.

It's a fantastic base for exploring beautiful Exmoor located in the lovely village of Exford which has two very good hotels for food and drink,which are literally only yards away from the cottage...no driving required..and the local store and post office just across the village...More

Pets allowed at additional cost of £20.
A 25% (non-refundable) deposit is due at the time of booking.
The remaining balance and a £100 refundable security deposit is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
The refundable damage deposit will be returned within 7 days of departure subject to no damage and a satisfactory property inspection.

In the very heart of Exmoor, Exford is an idyllic village, based on the River Exe in the centre of Exmoor National Park.

It has excellent access to the moors for those interested in outdoor sports and activities such as hunting, riding and shooting, and close to near by seaside towns for those wanting to visit the coast and perhaps even doing a little surfing. Well known for its superb hunting, fishing and walking, (the Devon & Somerset Staghounds have been based there since 1875) and with stable yards for equestrian visitors, Exford is a popular choice for all types of tourists throughout the year.

Details of how to get to The Old Forge from the M5 Motorway Junction 25. Distance 26 miles, approx. time 3/4 hour to 1 hour.

Leave junction 25 (Taunton) follow the A358 from Taunton towards Minehead for about 3 miles and then turn left along the B3224. After about 10 miles you will come to Raleighs Cross (pub).Go straight past and then turn right following the B3224 which changes course here.

Continue for approx. 6 miles until you reach Wheddon Cross. Go straight across at the crossroads following the signs to Exford (Approx 5 miles). We are located right in the heart of Exford with a beautiful semi circular window overlooking the village green.
