Linens and towels are provided as is an iron and ironing board. The fully enclosed walled rear garden means you can put your feet up whilst the children (or adults!) play safely to their heart's content. There is also another lawned area that’s ideal for sunbathing and a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ. The ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible and you will find a large, open plan space to the rear of the cottage that accommodates the kitchen, dining and living areas. High spec and fully equipped, the kitchen comes complete with a range cooker, microwave, large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and all the crockery and cutlery you're ever likely to need. To the side, a large dining table comfortably seats eight. Beside this is a cosy TV area, ideal for a family chill out with a large, comfy corner sofa by the fire with a multi-channel TV and DVD player. You’ll also find a wide selection of games in the cupboard. On the dresser are a host of family board games, books and DVDs. One of our favourite spots is the two sofas at the back of the living area. French doors on three sides open onto the private garden (approximately 90 feet by 30 feet) flooding this area with natural daylight and making it ideal for spending a bit of "me time" relaxing, reading the paper and enjoying a well earned refreshment. The spacious ground floor family bedroom has a king size double bed together with adult size bunk beds, triple wardrobes, a large chest of drawers and a smart TV. Completing the ground floor is the family bathroom with jacuzzi bath and "mains" shower over the bath. Upstairs are two further bedrooms. The master boasts a king size double bed, double wardrobes, a chest of drawers, smart TV and a spacious en-suite shower room with “mains” shower. There are also a couple of comfortable chairs. The large twin bedded room has built in wardrobes, chest of drawers, and smart TV player and the views over the garden are delightful. The patio has a selection of garden furniture and a Webber barbecue. Outside lighting means you can stay out long after dark Staying at Garden Cottage When you are on holiday it is important you feel comfortable and relaxed. Worry not, that is what we aim for at Garden Cottage. You will find just about every modern convenience you could imagine as well as some you might not expect to see in a holiday home. All that we ask is that you treat the cottage with care so that the next guests find it in the same condition as you did. And we know that spillages and breaks happen. Unless the damage is extensive, you will not be charged. All we ask is that you let us know what happened so we can quickly repair or replace the damaged items. Instructions for all the appliances can be found in a white folder in the shelf under the coffee table and the central heating instructions are displayed above the boiler in the cupboard at the top of the stairs. You’ll find the bins in the bin store through the black door about 20 feet to your right as you leave the cottage’s front door. Fife Council now operates a four bin recycling policy so it would be a great help if you could do your best to sort your waste in to the appropriate bins. The hall has been tiled so there is no need to take dirty shoes off before you come inside. However, it would be a great help if you do take them off before walking on the carpets and wooden flooring – you would not believe how dirty those areas can get! Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please keep them downstairs only and not in the family bedroom. And please, please clean up any mess in the garden. It is likely the next guests will have small children and we do not want any ‘accidents’. Smoking is strictly off limits inside the cottage

Another excellent sojourn in the garden cottage.
Superb property, terrific location in the centre of Crail, close to every amenity this lovely village has to offer, an excellent enclosed garden, safe for the children with a garden shed equiped with everything a family could need, from games to amuse the kids and equipment for the nearby beach! This is our second visit as a family and we will definately come again if we can align dates with availability, I can commend both the cottage and Crail without reservation to anyone looking for a relaxing break in the lovely East Neuk of Fife.

Perfect holiday cottage for a family holiday
My husband, two adult children, their partners and I had a lovely weekend at Garden Cottage. It is comfortable, spacious and very well organised with pleasant garden space. The owners have thought of everything and the welcome basket was a very nice touch. I also really appreciated the lovely quality bed linen. The location is ideal for heading to the beach or a wander through the village. We walked along the coast to Anstruther and back; a lovely long walk. Would highly recommend the cottage to anyone who is heading to beautiful Crail.

Simply perfect
A real family holiday spent in beautiful, comfortable surroundings. Every little detail has been thought of in making every stay memorable. My grandchildren particularly loved the Jacuzzi bath and must have been the cleanest kids in Crail by the end of our holiday. Spacious, enclosed garden so no worries regarding the kids. All rooms are large and beautifully decorated and "wow" what I'd give to have a kitchen like that, especially the huge island. The good weather meant we could spend lots of time on the beach rock pooling, building sand castles, chasing waves and not a mobile phone in sight or even asked for and there are many more fishing villages dotted along the coast which are worth a visit. A great chippie in Crail serves lovely fish and chips etc all made to order and The Golf Hotel is friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a lovely lunch there. They also have a good value kids menu. Our only complaint is that our time passed far too quickly but I definitely expect to return for a traditional, family holiday.

Location is amazing. Cottage is perfect for a group of people (and a dog). Lovely garden, very homely and perfectly presented. Very large bedrooms. Owner really helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Fantastic grassy area just by the beach on your doorstep. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely property & village
This is a lovely property in a quaint fishing village. The property was clean, comfortable, and ideal for our party of 5 adults & our dog (very secure garden). All the arrangements with Alan were fine and there was a nice welcome pack on arrival. There is plenty to do in the area & the village has a great collection of shops.

Perfect holiday cottage in a lovely Fife coastal village.
My family and I found the cottage to be very comfortable, clean and cozy and indeed the perfect place to spend a week in January in Fife. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed for cooking the occasional meal and entertaining ourselves with DVD's and playing games. The garden is private and fully enclosed which was great for the dog. We found the locals we encountered to be very friendly and had a great time checking out all the local beaches, harbours and coffee shops in the surrounding area. St Andrews is also very close with the beach being the perfect place to fly a kite. We had a lovely lunch in Mitchell's on Market Street and picking up some nice things at the deli for later.

Lovely coastal retreat
The cottage was spacious, very well equipped with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and the range cooker with 2 ovens was ideal and easy to use. The central heating was very effective and lovely to come back to on a cold day. Crail has lovely coastal walks and a little park close by which was great for exercising the dog. A great base for exploring the east neuk. Would definitely return.
