Old Hall Cottage is a modern conversion of a 200 year old byre. It is set in the grounds of Old Hall which is situated on the picturesque island of Hoy & Walls in the Orkney Isles. The cottage is child friendly, pets are very welcome and it is suitable for assisted wheelchair users. There are very well stocked bookshelves and we also have Christian meditative literature for those who maybe looking for a spiritual retreat. We are also autism aware. Please speak to us about any specific requirements.
The beach is five minutes walk away and there are spectacular views of the Scapa Flow and The Pentland Firth. Within a mile is the Strombank Hotel with its cosy pub/restaurant and excellent food and hospitality.
Hoy & Walls has an amazing coastline with the highest sea cliffs in the UK and the famous stack called The Old Man of Hoy.

Interaction with guests
Upon arrival, we will meet and greet and show guests around the cottage. We are available to assist whenever requested, but are more than happy to give guests as much space as they wish. The cottage shares a garden with our own home and Tom will often be working there, but guests are welcome to enjoy the garden as if it was their own.

Garden was a delight although weather conditions meant we didn't get to sit out and enjoy but the view through the windows was lovely. Very quiet and peaceful and lovely beach 5 minutes away, beautiful cliff top walks and history everywhere. Enjoyed the Scapa...
