Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Luxury Lodge
Braes Lodge is an amazing place to stay. It is fitted out to the highest standard in all respects with lovely views of the scottish highlands. The hot tub was amazing and was just the job after a long day of walking and sightseeing. We were lucky with having clear skies in the evening and so were able to star gaze while soaking away the aches and pains. Mandy was brilliant and gave lots of ideas of what to see and do. The location is quite remote but ideal if you want peace and quiet in a relaxing environment.

An absolute haven! Perfect in every way!
The charming Braes Lodge is an absolute haven with stunning surroundings inside and out! From the wonderful tranquility of the view from the hot tub, to the beautifully equipped & spacious interior, there are so many ways to do nothing but relax & recuperate! The infrared sauna was a revelation as was the integrated music system throughout. What a joy this place was, with its wood burning stove to make it extra cozy, the comfiest bed ever - and the chocolate!!!! It was absolutely perfect as a special birthday surprise that I’d planned for my husband. Mandy & Ian were genuinely lovely hosts and went out of their way to make our stay memorable and meaningful - even providing a spin in their beautiful Morgan. There were so many thoughtful touches! Although it feels off the beaten track, the lodge is very accessible and perfectly situated for exploring many parts of Scotland. We know the area well and loved the fact that many favourite places were easily visited without feeling that we’d spent all day in the car - or compromised our time in the lodge. It’s ideally situated for hill walking or just relaxing and switching off! I first bookmarked this place 10 years ago and am so thrilled we finally managed to stay there. Our only regret is that we couldn’t have stayed longer! Fabulous in all respects! We will definitely be returning if we can!

Countryside comfort at its finest!
Countryside comfort at its finest! An absolutely unforgettable trip to Braes Lodge. It made for the most perfect and romantic proposal, making this a place we will never forget. The Morgan allowed us to see Scotland in such a unique way and now it is a place that will always be close to our hearts. A huge thank you goes to Mandy, without whom, the proposal wouldn't have been possible. We would also like to thank lan for trusting us with their precious Morgan and for the excellent tuition beforehand. There really isn't anything that hasn't been thought of at Braes Lodge, making the stay so luxurious; from the welcome hamper to the travel picnic gear! We really appreciated all the extra touches to make the trip feel extra special. We can’t wait for our return trip!

A very special place to stay!
We had a wonderful 3 nights at Braes Lodge - superb rural Perthshire location between Aberfeldy and Tummel Bridge/ Kinloch Rannoch, with stunning views over the nearby loch and hills, and lots of walks nearby. The Lodge was immaculate and very well-equipped (including a washing machine and dryer), with a lovely interior and comfortable furnishings. It offered lots of space for 2 people, including the open plan kitchen/dining/living room, a large bedroom complete with en-suite bathroom, a sauna room, and a large hot-tub on the terrace to relax in and enjoy the views! Best of all, we had the opportunity to rent the owners' Morgan car for a day, a really enjoyable experience (with a bonus of hot sunny weather!)

Spa Experience for Two
We had a wonderful, relaxing "Spa like" three night stay at Braes Lodge. Every detail had been thought about with care, down to the beautifully laid dining table, lit fire and hamper basket of goodies waiting for us when we arrived. The communication before during and after our stay was second to none. This was the second time we have stayed here and we're already planning our next visit, possibly for more nights to continue the relaxing experience that little bit longer. It is very apparent that Mandy and Ian are passionate about Braes Lodge. Thank you again for everything you do to make our stays so memorable. Until next time.

Above and beyond our expectations
From the moment that we arrived, Mandy, the owner, made us feel at home. She had lit the log burner and the lodge was toasty. She really does check the hot tub water quality twice a day. This is one of the best equiped properties that we have ever rented. The lodge is the perfect get away for a couple. We had a wonderful week, and came away feeling really relaxed. We will certainly return.

Wonderful stay
Had the most wonderful stay at Braes Lodge. We had a lovely welcome from Mandy and the beautiful complimentary hamper with goodies and the wood burning stove lit for our arrival just made it feel so special. Lots of time spent in hot tub, enjoying the views and the peace and quiet. We were lucky with our weather and climbed Schiehallion during our stay, you can see this from the hot tub. Hope to be back again soon Thanks again Mandy for a wonderful few days.
