Gardener's Cottage (sleeps 4 people) is the perfect place from which to enjoy the beauty of Glen Lyon and explore Perthshire beyond. The cottage is set in open countryside, and has wonderful south facing views of the glen. The river Lyon is at the bottom of the track, and the hills all around are perfect for walking.

The cottage dates from the 1800s and has been converted into a cosy holiday cottage. It's well equipped kitchen includes an electric cooker, freezer, fridge, microwave, and washing machine. Sky television and a DVD player are provided in the sitting room.

House trained dogs are allowed but dogs that might cause any damage must please be kept in private cars.

arrived the Gardeners cottage on Chesthill estate no problem, beware the single track road out of Fortingall, especially if they are logging? We just took one long deep breath, and relaxed immediately. Cottage is roomy, with two well maintained bathrooms (and a bath!), so easy in the mornings! With a team of four we came to South Chesthill for the tail end of the Hind season, and stayed in Gardener's Cottage for 4 nights, being brilliantly looked after by Hamish and Kay. Check out: by 10.00am.<BR><BR>Directions:<BR><BR>1) From Edinburgh airport and the south, aim for the Forth Road Bridge and then the M90 (easy sign-posts from the airport) then take the A9 towards Inverness.<BR>2) Exit off the A9 north of Perth at Ballinluig and head west to Aberfeldy along the A827. <BR>3) Before leaving Aberfeldy turn right at the cross roads onto the B846. <BR>4) Head through Weem, past Dull, and a couple of miles later turn left at Coshieville towards Fortingall (signposted).<BR>5) Go through Fortingall and turn right after 300 yards into Glen Lyon (signposted). <BR>6) The cottage is c.3 miles along Glen Lyon.
