Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

A perfect cabin in a beautiful location with great hosts.
The cabin in beautiful, comes with everything you need and nothing you don’t. The stove is brilliant and we got the cabin toasty and warm and cooked our food with just a handful of logs. The location is wonderful at the edge of a sheltered lagoon with a fantastic view across the water or sands depending on the tide. It is accessible but secluded and you fall asleep on a super comfortable bed to the sound of curlews calling. The hosts are lovely and go out of their way to make you comfortable. We can’t thank them enough. There is only one problem… you won’t want to leave.

Peace & Quiet
All the reviews are true! Beautiful location, perfectly formed cabin and attentive yet non intrusive hosts make this place a Highland paradise. The cabin itself has everything you need. The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful which makes it easy to completely relax, once you've figured out how to work everything! However, hosts are nearby if needed. Isaac (aged 6ish) was very professional and enquired about our needs on a regular basis in his own inimitable hosting style! 5 stars is a rarity (from me) but in this instance definitely deserved. We had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wee escape.

Good for the soul
Wow, where do we start? This is a truly magical place. The cabin itself is beautiful. Spacious and comforting with everything you could possibly need. It all runs off grid too which is fantastic. The area is stunning. The Big Burn walk feels like a magical fairy glen and the views from the Ben Bhraggie walk are outstanding. You can also drive up to John o groats in an hour and a half, and the scenery will take your breath away. But above all that, this is one of these places that stays with you long after you’ve left. There’s just something about the place that creates a sense of calm, peace and a connection to nature that feels good for your entire being. Just looking out from the cabin, observing what’s around, breathing the clean air and just ‘being’ is what it’s all about. Our hosts Boban and Lizzie were perfect. So friendly and welcoming and made everything easy for us. They’re on hand to help with anything, but also give you space and privacy too. There’s also a chocolate lab who I think is mentioned in nearly every review. If you go you’ll find out why. He’s the best! This is the place to go to relax, unwind, free your mind and just be.

Absolute Paradise
Wow- what an incredible find! This comfortable, luxury cabin in a peaceful, beautiful location has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. You get the quiet of a nature reserve with 5* treatment and many wonders of the Highlands within 30 minutes in any direction. An easy stay with a baby, the tween loved exploring the surroundings, and my husband and I relished in calm. It was exactly what we needed following lockdown!

Perfection 👌
Lucky to have stayed for two nights with our daughter & dog. Cabin is everything you would hope for, spotlessly clean, stylish, FULLY equipped & very comfortable. Boban & Lizzie are perfect hosts, there for anything you need but also give you plenty space just to enjoy and be. Shoko the choc lab is the perfect gentleman, great company and a calming influence for our crazy boxer dog. The surrounding forrests are good for the soul, such a calming environment to just be in. Didn’t want to leave....already thinking about when we can go back. 👌

Everything we could wish for...
Loved this little cabin situated by the beautiful Loch Fleet. An ideal getaway for two people. BoBan and Lizzie were the perfect hosts - we took advantage of the dinner and breakfast basket which were excellent value. Cooking steak on the fire was a real treat and was honestly the best steak I have ever had! The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed and I have to mention the amazing shower! We strolled through the woods and down to the loch, so peaceful with only the sound of birds. There were seals in the distance but the osprey we think had already left so we will need to venture back next summer! Just love this place and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peace and quiet amongst nature with a sense of adventure..

Idyllic Cabin
We stayed here for one night whilst doing part of the North Coast 500 route. It didn’t disappoint and was a great change from hotels. The views are stunning in both sun & rain. It is extremely well, and thoughtfully, equipped with high quality goods and furnishings. It’s very new but I imagine by next summer you will need to book well in advance to get in here. Boban & Lizzie are perfect hosts.
