Crossroads Cottage is an incredibly charming 18th century hideaway set in the heart of the Highlands near Loch Ness. This lovingly restored property is the perfect base for exploring, however you'll need to drag yourself away from the cosy log-burner and comfy sofa first! Perhaps a romantic meal at the local restaurant just 2 minutes from the door, or a stroll to the world-famous Urquhart Castle, just a mile away. The bustling village of Drumnadrochit is in easy reach, just half a mile walk. Crossroads Cottage has an open plan layout with a lounge and kitchen diner on the ground floor. Here you'll find a log burning stove, a 40' flat-screen TV with Bluetooth soundbar and DVD player. Wi-Fi is available free of charge. There is a dedicated parking space opposite the cottage. Included in your stay: bed linen and towels, utilities, wi-fi, one basket of firewood. Please note that there is no garden area at Crossroads Cottage, but turning left out of the front door and just a few minutes walk, you will find a lovely grassy parkland area which leads onto a series of interconnecting paths through the woodland and next to the river. Locals refer to it as 'The Cover' - a dog's paradise! More

Great little cottage

Just stayed at the cottage for 3 nights fantastic place and perfectly situated. It has everything you could need and a lovely log burner for the cold nights.

Idyllic cottage in stunning location

Crossroads, Lewiston

This is a truly excellent base-of-operations for one or two travellers to explore the eastern highlands. Literally a 20 minute walk from Urquhart Castle and also close to the Loch Ness Visitor Centre. Inverness is only a short drive away.

Drumnadrochit is one of the most popular villages in Scotland, owing to its proximity to Loch Ness and its variety of shops, cafes, hotels, pubs, petrol station, restaurants and of course the world famous Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition. The shores of Loch Ness are a less than a mile walk away - perfect for a picnic. The local pub/restaurant is a 2 minute walk from the door of Crossroads Cottage. If horse riding is your thing, the local stables are also in walking distance and offer riding for both beginners and more experienced riders. A little further afield but all within an easy drive you can reach Glen Affric, Aviemore, The Cairngorms National Park, The Isle of Skye, Fort Augustus, Fort William, Ben Nevis, Ullapool and more - just let yo
Getting around
Although Drumnadrochit and all it's amenities are in easy walking distance, as is Urquhart Castle, in order to get the most from your stay in the Highlands we recommend a car to get around further afield. However, if you prefer to get around using public transport, you can reach the cottage no problem using the bus from Inverness.
