The bungalow is located right in the crofting village of Achiltibuie and positioned high up overlooking Tanera Mor and the Summer Isles providing absolutely stunning sea and mountain views. The house is spacious and offers a great space for a large family, two families or groups in comfortable self catering accommodation. It is an excellent base to explore the Scottish West Highlands that are some of the last 'wild places' on the mainland of the UK. The accommodation is all on one level. There are four bedrooms with two bathrooms. The kitchen is spacious and fitted with all modern conveniences including washer, tumble dryer and dishwasher. An Taigh Soluis is clean, spacious and uncluttered. All amenities are provided and we wanted for nothing. The midge-free costal location, with access to Coigach, Assynt and Ullapool, is outstanding; the views across Loch Broom to Wester Ross make a visit worthwhile on their own....More

About the neighbourhood
Ullapool is 24 miles away with essential shops, and a supermarket, gift and craft shops, restaurants and cafes, a 9-hole golf course and a swimming pool. You can also take a ferry across to the Western Isles, Skye and the Outer Hebrides from Ullapool. Achiltibuie is a great area for touring and the North Coast 500 road route can be followed up to Sutherland and around the top of Scotland where quiet roads, wonderful remoteness and pretty little villages can be explored. Also starting in Achiltibuie, the Assynt Achiltibuie circular is one of the best road cycling routes in the Highlands.

Ferry: Ullapool: 40.0 km
Achiltibuie is under 2 hours’ drive from Inverness taking the A832 then the A835 north towards Ullapool.

From Ullapool the journey is about 45 minutes by car to the village. passing the imposing mountain of Stac Pollaidh until you reach Achiltibuie.

An Taigh Soluis can also be reached by public transport via Inverness and Ullapool.

Air Travel: Inverness Airport is served by direct flights.
Train Travel: Rail links to Inverness are regular from most parts of the UK, including sleeper service from London.
Car Hire is Available from Inverness Airport or railway station.
Bus Travel: There are bus links between Ullapool and Inverness to serve the Stornoway Ferry timetable, with a local bus from there, so check the relevant timetables.
