High quality, recently built, modern and environmentally friendly 5 bedroom house in fantastic location for exploring the Highlands of Scotland, or just sitting taking in the scenery from your seat. Designed as a family home with room for 2 families, there is a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area with balcony and rear deck. The master bedroom has en-suite bathroom with sauna and door onto balcony. The guest bedroom has en-suite wetroom, both have super king size beds for a comfortable nights sleep. The 3 bedrooms downstairs have twin beds and 2 shared shower rooms. There is a double bed sofa in the living room that is available for use if wished. The local area is rich with wildlife and you can go hill walking straight out of the door. The local area is renowned for fishing. We stayed in the cottage with our friends. In total 3 families (11 people). Very modern, specious and extremely well equipped house. Could easily accommodate more than 12 people. We've had two spare bedrooms downstairs. You will definitely find anything you need in the house....More

We went here for a family gathering and had a lovely relaxed weekend in this great house. The adults and children enjoyed it. Accommodation was modern, spacious, clean and well equipped. The owner got in touch quickly when booking and was very helpful.

About the neighbourhood
Strathconon is a fairly remote glen with a no-through road so it is very quiet with minimal traffic. We are about 6 miles up the glen and there are a further 11 miles of road before tracks take you into real Highland wilderness.
Getting around
Realistically, unless you are a die hard cyclist, a car is pretty much essential due to the location. However, once you are at the house there are enough walks and places to explore locally that you don't really need to use it. Grocery deliveries are possible from Tesco and Asda - Tesco in Dingwall is the closest supermarket.
