Stylish, well-equipped kitchen with ceramic top cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave.
A great location, not too isolated but private
Comfortable king sized bed
Buzzards, squirrels and deer inhabit the woods near the cottage - great for watching wildlife
Nearby Kirkmichael Arms have reals ales and excellent food
Beautiful countryside and views surround the cottage
Spacious sitting room has a two seater and a three seater sofa and adjoining dining area
Tiled bathroom has a shower over the bath

I usually meet guests at the cottage to explain the heating system and answer any questions. There is lots of information in the cottage about local attractions, walks, restaurants and events and I'm happy to suggest things to do and see. I'm also happy for guests to call me if they require more information.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage with our two young children. Bea met us and showed us round and had really gone to the effort to bring things for us like a high chair and some toys for the children which was great....More

About the neighbourhood
Crawfordston is located in peaceful countryside but is handy for the shops, restaurants and bars of Ayr.
Culzean Castle, one of the National Trust's best properties, is only 7.7 miles away. It has a country park and full calendar of events throughout the year. Robert Burns Birthplace Museum is also nearby.
A short distance away are the Galloway Forest Park, Loch Doon and the Ospreys, the Dark Sky Park and the Scottish Dark Sky Observatory which is open to the public.
Getting around
The quiet roads are great for driving or cycling to explore the countryside. It's only 3 miles to the nearest train station where you can get trains to Ayr, Prestwick and Glasgow. Ayr has busses and trains every 30 minutes to Glasgow and the journey takes about an hour.

The cottage is located along a single track road from the B7045. Drive north from Kirkmichael along the B7045 for 2 miles, turn right, Crawfordston is first on the left approximately 1 mile along the road. Nearby is a sign for Pinmerry Farm attached to a tree. There is plenty of parking space by the cottage, enough for 3 or 4 cars and one space in front of the cottage. As the cottage has a slate floor cyclists can store their bikes inside.
The nearest train station is Maybole (3 miles) or Ayr (9 miles).
Prestwick Airport is 16 miles away.
The cottage is not on a bus route.
