Renovated to the highest of standards it offers spacious, bright accommodation for holidays, family gatherings or social events. The accommodation comprises of a very large bay-windowed lounge with open fire, a well-equipped, modern dining kitchen fitted with Smeg fridge, 5-burner gas hob, oven, dishwasher and washing machine, I double bedroom (king-size bed), 1 twin bedroom and bathroom with over-bath power shower and underfloor heating. The apartment is centrally heated. To the front of the apartment are large lawns and a parking space and there are also communal grounds at the back of the house. My husband and I spent a week at No 1 Stanley House as our son was studying abroad -- just don't the street at University of Stirling. My fiancée and I took the flat at One Stanley House to visit my daughter at the University of Stirling. The historic spa town of Bridge of Allan is situated 2 miles from Stirling in the heart of Scotland and offers a great base from which to explore. A bustling, popular village vibrant with shops and restaurants - it has it's own railway station with trains going to Edinburgh, Glasgow ant the North every half hour. Local river and woodland walks are beautiful in any season and a half hour drive takes you to the Trossachs with all the hills and lochs you could want. The village has it's own 9-hole golf course and Gleneagles and the Old Course at St Andrews are within easy reach. The village also has a 6 court tennis club and a riding school. Airport: Edinburgh: 50.0 km
If arriving from Edinburgh, by car, follow the M9 towards Stirling and continue until you reach the Dunblane Roundabout. Bridge of Allan is signposted as the fourth turn-off. If coming from Glasgow follow the M80 until you join up with the M9. Bridge of Allan is just under an hour from Edinburgh and about 40 minutes from Glasgow. You can also arrive by train; getting off at Bridge of Allan station the apartment is about a 10 minute walk.
