Situated on the Isle of Lewis, Seascape Cottage has fabulous panoramic sea views looking south towards the Harris & Uig hills and north over Broad Bay. It also overlooks the Braighe and Mealabost beaches although with so many great beaches on Lewis and Harris you’ll be spoilt for choice!
The cottage retains much of the original internal wooden cladding giving that extra holiday seaside feeling. The property is suitable for those with limited mobility, with a double bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The cottage offers the tranquillity of the islands but with the added convenience of being only a 10 minute drive from the main town of Stornoway where you will find most amenities. We allow up to 3 well behaved dogs, as we know that finding accommodation for our 3 isn't easy.
There is a village cafe and community shop within a few minutes walking distance where you can buy local produce. It is the perfect location for visiting the various attractions the islands have to offer whilst also being close to the airport and ferry terminals.
Whether it’s the spectacular scenery, the fantastic wildlife, outdoor pursuits or just looking for a place to “chill out“ Seascape Cottage is the place for you. Free Wifi available.

Beautiful cottage with a stellar view of the sky and stars. Host is very kind and conscientious. My husband and I traveled from Oregon to see the Callanish stones which were a short drive away.

Incredible House, Super friendly hosts
What a beautiful home you have on Point, the views are incredible we could sit for hours at the window watching the weather changing, rolling in and out. Everything you can possible need, well equipped home. You can tell the owners take great pride with the property. Its a home away from home feel. Point is one of our favourite areas to live in Stornoway and this house is top of the list for future return. Nice to see the wee shop that has been newly built open and has huge variety of stock/essentials. Our host Richard, what can I say.... you went over and above to accommodate me and my family which I am truly grateful for. Long story short our car broke down, missed the ferry and stayed an extra night in order to get flights home. Thank you again, we cant wait to return.

Seascape Cottage Review
Enjoyed a lovely holiday on Lewis/Harris. The cottage was comfortable for four of us and well situated for access throughout the islands. Visited lots of lovely beaches.

Family holiday
Long awaited break due to covid 2020 cancellation. Was well worth the wait, excellent cottage with everything you could possibly need. The location was ideal, great outlook and handy for popping into Stornoway. Beaches are Amazing and lots to see.

Brilliant property
We stayed with our two Goldies and had an absolutely brilliant time. The property was so well resourced, we wanted for nothing, everything was clearly labelled and it all worked. Property was very clean, very spacious, in fact we didn't use the dining room, preferring the views from the kitchen. The bed was very comfy, linen and towels of a high quality. Richard was outstanding in his support/ information both prior to and during our stay, he even made enquiries about dog food suppliers and kept us up to date about calmac ferry bookings. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous holiday.
This cottage is really good. It is clean, comfortable and very homely with everything we needed. One day when the weather wasn't great we decided to have a day indoors and when the rain stopped we still stayed at the cottage because we were so cosy! The location is perfect as it is close to Stornoway but still in a quiet area (with lovely neighbours). We fell in love with the island and its scenery, beaches,history and people.
The communication with Richard was great, especially when we thought the trip might not happen due to the Covid restrictions. This was a perfect holiday, with a fantastic cottage.

Great weekend break
Such a great find, lovely home with spectacular views. It's spacious, comfortable and warm with all the facilities we needed. The location is ideal, not too far from town but out in the rural area.
Richard is also very helpful and in hand if you need anything. Highly recommend!

Great base for Lewis.
This cottage had everything we needed for our stay on Lewis and it was easy to travel to other parts of the island. Spacious home from home. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The "long" island of Lewis and Harris is mainly geared to car owners, but there are also opportunities for cyclists and walkers.
If you dont have a car then there are local buses that serve most of the island, but you may want to study the timetables first if planning an excursion. Taxi's are also a popular option for visiting the main tourists sites and can act as personal guides as well!.
For the more adventurous there are various sea excursions from Stornoway, Tarbet and near Uig ranging from short trips to see wildlife to full day trips e.g. St Kilda.

How to get there
The two main ways to visit the island are either Calmac ferries from Ullapool or Uig on Skye, or by Airplane into Stornoway Airport.
For a more scenic route you could use Calmacs Hopper pass and start from Oban, Heading first to Barra, then working your way up through the Uists to Lewis & Harris. As an alternative you might like to visit the Isle of Mull from Oban first before hitting the Outer Hebrides trail.
