Holiday Rental House -
4 Bedrooms , 3 Bathrooms , Sleeps 10
Ardvasar, Isle of Skye, The Hebrides, Scotland
The Old Church is perfectly situated to allow easy access to wonderful walks, wildlife & stunning scenery. It is a deceptively large house with flexible accommodation ideally suited to two families or large groups. PETS VERY WELCOME! From the large main lounge there is a fantastic view over Ardvasar Bay & the Sound of Sleat. At the other end of the house there is a kitchen with dining table & additional lounge area looking out over a field that is usually populated with Highland cows & their calves.

PLEASE NOTE:- The information on this advert has information about the house after refurbishment in early 2012. It is more up to date than our own website. Thank you.

Just along the road there is an excellent hotel/pub/restaurant which is exceptionally friendly. There is also a small but well stocked shop in the villa...

The owner, Carole, has thought of everything at the Old Church Holiday Cottage. We have rented 8 cottages over the last 10 years, most on Skye, and this was, without doubt, the best experience we have ever had during the rental process. The cottage itself...More

I cannot sing the praises of the Old Church cottage highly enough. It was absolutely wonderful, with everything you need for a stay on Skye. We were a group of 9 from the U.S. (two families with a mix of adults and teens/tweens) and this...More

Additional amenities & feature info
The house is bursting with character with wooden wall panelling, a beautiful oak staircase & some stained glass windows. It is exceptionally well equipped and intended to be a 'home from home' - the only thing we have ever been asked for is a toast rack!!

The garden is very pretty and is fully enclosed. There is a selection of garden furniture and also a 'Midgebuster' so the garden can be enjoyed at all times.

About the neighbourhood
The Sleat Peninsula is often known as 'The Garden of Skye'. Here the terrain is gentler than many other areas of Skye although no less impressive. There are some wonderful beaches within easy driving distance. The peninsula stretches some 25 miles from the main body of Skye culminating in the Point of Sleat at the southernmost tip. There are a number of award winning restaurants along the peninsula as well as many craft shops and galleries. Armadale Castle has an excellent museum, beautiful gardens with woodland walks and and a lovely Cafe with locally produced goods. Boat trips are available to go wildlife spotting.
