Holiday Rental House
Skye is a fascinating place to holiday, so why not make it unforgettable by staying in one of our two beautifully appointed shepherd huts? Located on the croft in Heaste, Isle of Skye, the huts are very special small space retreats, and unique to the area. I have 2 huts, Bothan Beileag and Bothan Buidheag, each sleep 2 guests. All linen and towels are provided. Despite being small, you will find everything you might need in your wee cosy hut, and each bespoke hut has been finished to the highest standard. Each hut has a wood-burning stove, electricity, water, double bed, tea- and coffee-making, good 3G reception, and spectacular views in all directions. There is a Kitchen diner and a lounge area for your use also. The summer house is a snug wee spot to watch the weather and take in the great views. Just ask, whether you find you have forgotten your toothbrush, or need advise to plan the next stage of your holiday. We can also recommend some beautiful and intriguing places to visit, as well as the best-known tourist attractions. ~~~ The area also has a good selection of both relaxed local eateries and more formal award-winning restaurants. A Hospital, Doctors' Surgery, Chemist, Bank, Supermarket and Petrol Station are amongst the usual amenities to be found in Broadford (8 km). A car is essential, there is no public transport in Heaste.More

Janet fully deserves all 5 stars and more. Her home, farm, animal friends, and of course the absolutely adorable shepherd's huts were the best accommodation we had during our two weeks in Scotland. Janet is so warm and welcoming. So are all of her animals!...More

How to get there
Skye Bridge: take the Skye Bridge road A87 and once over the bridge, take the 3rd exit at the roundabout, signposted to Broadford and Portree. Continue on the A87 for approximately 6 miles, passing through Breakish and Harrapool. The left turn for Heasta is opposite the Claymore Restaurant and the Veterinary Clinic. Take the single track road for approximately 4 miles. At this point there are a couple of sharp bends, and then the road goes downhill with the village of Heasta visable ahead of you. Skye Shepherd Huts are located at the first property in the village, you will see the huts on your right just after you cross the cattle grid, the drive entrance is on your right.
