A stone's throw from the famous Dunvegan Castle, home to the Macleod clan for the last 800 years and nestled on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, this timber clad house offers beautiful views over the loch to Macleod's Tables. A large fenced garden with access to a jetty through the back garden makes our house a dream for families and couples alike.

The location is close to restaurants and the shop. Helen provided a welcome pack which was much appreciated. The house was warm and well equipped and the beds were comfortable.

The interior is decorated in a modern style, with laminate and tiled floors downstairs for easy cleaning. The lounge has a 40in TV with a Nintendo wii, PlayStation 3 and x box plus multiple games and an electric log burner for all the enjoyment with no fuss. A fully equipped kitchen with dining table for 6 people, with views onto the Loch has an electric job and oven. We offer a wide selection of Scottish cookbooks which should tempt even the most basic of chefs. We have a highchair available in the porch for the smaller members, a potty, toilet seat and stool, along with cups and bowls are also supplied. The village of Dunvegan sits on the shores of the large Loch Dunvegan and the Old School Restaurant in the village is widely known for its freshly caught shellfish from the loch itself. Dunvegan Castle, home of the clan Macleod for over 800 years is just a 10 minute stroll away.
Getting around
Dunvegan is a fabulous base to explore from as you are in the centre of the island. You can take day trips to the various peninsula's whilst enjoying the fantastic scenery Skye has to offer right out the front door! The bus stops right outside the house and there are plenty of your companies offering a variety of tours to suit all ages.
