Completely refurbished recently, with oak flooring throughout, comfort privacy and relaxation are easy to enjoy here. Artists may wish to paint with the splendid light and views in the sun room . The home, with 3 bathrooms, is surrounded by the heather clad hills of the Morrone Conservation area where golden eagles soar and red and roe deer regularly frequent hence the house name. Only weekly lets,including all linen, electricity, central heating and logs for the woodburner are from Saturday to Saturday for up to eleven people, with two double en suite bedrooms, a twin bedroom, a double and bunk bedroom and a family bath/shower room . Mobile signal is only 2G with O2 best, but 6 meg WiFi is installed. Guests are welcome to use the hard court, vicarage tennis only ! , bicycles and the table tennis table in the garage and the range of 4 individual dog kennels, leaving them clean, as no pets are allowed in the house. Asda delivers to us daily, only orders with alcohol need signing for, specify deliver to the kennels but there is a full range of shops in the village (butcher co op pharmacy). Nearby places of interest and amenities include: Balmoral and Braemar Castles, Crathes and Drum castles and gardens are strongly recommended, Mar Lodge with its stags head ballroom, Glenshee ski area, Braemar golf course (the highest in UK) , Glen Tanar Estate with riding & trekking. Braemar , Knock and McEwan art galleries. Salmon, Brown and Rainbow trout and Coarse fishing and grouse shooting and stalking, subject to availability, can be arranged locally. More

had a brilliant week in october. the cottage was perfect hard to fault, i miss the views from the conservatory and the wildlife! hearing rutting deer at dawn and dusk was truely special. my daughter loved all the different wildlife in the garden. great location...More

Fabulous cottage half a mile from village centre. Very well appointed. Very spacious. High quality furnishings and bedding. Fantastic open outlook. Children loved the ping pong, tennis and wildlife. Would find it difficult to fault.

Deerpath is a large luxurious bungalow about two five minutes walk from the very cute town of Braemar. It lives up to it's site description in every way. The garden is a haven for wildlife - we saw red squirrels and many birds. No deer...More

A charming highland village with imposing granite architecture and with all the important amenities like surgery, shops, post office, hotels and pub. It has beautiful mountainous landscapes in which to enjoy a wide range of outdoor pursuits.
How to get there
Most major airlines fly into Aberdeen, the oil capital of Europe including British Airways, Easyjet and Flybe. There are regular 201 Deeside bus services to Braemar. Road from Aberdeen on A93 after the Invercauld Arms Hotel on left, fork right into Braemar. From Perth continue on A9 towards Inverness for 2 miles then turn off to Stanley, PH1 4LU . In Stanley put AB35 5YT in sat nav. In Braemar turn back left before the Invercauld Arms in centre of village. Go past the Fife Arms Hotel and Braemar Gallery on the right and turn half left at the brown sign, on the left lamp post, 6m Linn O''Dee, go up Chapel Brae (Hill). At the top go off the tarmac along Private Road with Lochan on left, Deerpath is second and last on the right.
