Beautiful cottage with harbour and island views

Lismore is situated in a quiet cul de sac overlooking Carradale harbour and the Isle of Arran to the front and Carradale golf course to the rear. It is newly refurbished to a very high standard with large open plan living room. A new kitchen, wood burner and ceiling to floor windows gives a modern but homely feel. There are 3 double rooms and 2 bathrooms.
There is parking for 3plus cars and a separate drive for sailing or speed boat. Well maintained gardens surround the property on all four sides with loads of grass for ball games or a BBQ to rear of garage. Access to a secure garage for wet storage is provided to.
A free supply of logs is also available for the stove as is the use of golf clubs (2sets) and mountain bikes (2). Why not log in to the local newspaper on Facebook, the' Antler' to get more information!

Absolutely gorgeous place. Beautiful cottage, beautiful location. 2 minutes walk to the harbour. Beaches all around. Lovely little shop. Thoroughly recommend a holiday here for all the family.

lismore is perfectly situated for the harbour views, plenty of good walks nearby to the beach and forest, a splendid relaxing holiday , good food locally , and very friendly locals, highly recommended,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. The cottage was warm and cosy and also very spacious, beds were quite literally a dream to sleep in. Every mod con you could want. A shame we didn't get to trial the log burner, but...More

About the neighbourhood
Carradale, once famous for processing basking shark oil, turned itself into one of the tourism jewels of the Mull of Kintyre. Extremely busy from the 50's to the early 90's. Perhaps less busy now, it has lost none of it's charm. Still an operating fishing port with the main catch being Langostine the boats leave early in the morning returning around dinner time. The ideal opportunity to ask one of the skippers if he would part with some of his catch! The prized shell fish are sold throughout the village in any one of the four hotels or restaurants. A number of coffee shops/cafes now operate giving the tourist a great selection of food and choice of eateries. How to get there
From Loch Lomond area take the A82 followed by the A83 to Tarbert. Shortly after the Kennacraig - Islay ferry terminal will be on the righthand side. The last part of the scenic route to Carradale is single track road (B8001). This is sign posted on the left approx 1/2 mile after the ferry terminal. To avoid this proceed straight on to Campbeltown and return via Peninver and Saddle (B842). Alternatively from the Glasgow area one can take the Arran ferry then drive to Lochranza taking a second ferry to Skipness, leaving 10 miles of single track to travel. There are daily flights from Glasgow to Macrahanish. Once there a bus can be taken from Campbeltown directly to Carradale.
