We also offer it for single nights at a standard rate of £90 per night for 2 people and can offer a DIY continental style breakfast at a small additional charge and you still have the exclusive use of the whole annex. The Hideaway is attached to the owners accommodation at Kilbride Farm. The farmhouse itself was built in the 1890's and the annex is a more recent conversion. It is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of every day life with time to sit and admire the views or wander down to a quiet sandy beach and re connect with your inner peace. The Hideaway has a large bedroom with a comfortable super king sized. It has ample cupboard and drawer space for all your personal effects. There is also space to erect a travel cot or full sized single blow up bed if desired - both can be supplied. Next to the bedroom is a lovely big bathroom that offers you the choice of a quick shower before a day on the beach or a long deep luxurious soak in the bath after a day spent walking in some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable. There is also a WC and wash hand basin. The cosy open plan lounge dominated by patio doors with stunning views over open countryside has a small kitchen area at one end which is equipped with all that you will need to whip up a hearty breakfast, an indulgent lunch or a romantic evening meal to eat either at the dining table or outside on your own raised patio where there is seating as well as a small BBQ should you wish to fire it up and cook up some of the wonderful local produce. Where ever you choose to eat the view will be amazing. You have a four ring electric hob, a fridge with small freezer compartment, a combination microwave/fan assisted convection oven/grill, a toaster and kettle and an abundance of utensils. The rest of the room is turned over to relaxation with a comfy sofa which also converts easily to a comfortable double bed, a rocking chair, an electric log burner effect fire, a television with freeview, a DVD player and also free WiFi. There are also books and games supplied. The Hideaway also has oil fired central heating. The patio doors in the lounge supply you with your own access separate to the owners entrance and you can access it by your own path along the side of the annexe. Although you share the garden with the owners they will give you all the privacy. peace and quiet you desire and as the garden is large and the land extends to 9 acres there is plenty of space to lose yourself in. There is a pretty burn that runs directly next to the side access to The Hideaway and through the garden so you can sit on the patio and listen to the relaxing sound of the water running. Many years ago there used to be a water wheel located here. Situated just a few minutes drive from the pretty village of Tighnabruaich on the stunning Cowal Peninsula of Scotland's west coast it is in an area known as 'Argyll's Secret Coast'. Kilbride Farm is a landmark used to direct people to the most beautiful beach in the area, Ostel Bay, also known as Kilbride Bay. The stunning bay with views over to Arran is just a 15 minute walk away and accessible only on foot from the track which forms part of the boundary of Kilbride Farm. Wander down there to watch the sunset and you will often have the beach completely to yourself. More

Clean and very comfortable with all the equipment you require. Take only food and toiletries. The beautiful beach can only be reached by walking and therefore few people know about it. It is like having your own private cove. That and the location is truly...More

About the neighbourhood
Tighnabruaich is a small village on the Cowal Peninsular. It has 3 hotel/pub/restaurants and a small bistro. There is a premier store in the main street and also a wonderful village store/post office situated in Kames (the nearest store to The Hideaway). There are a couple of tearooms, an art gallery, a charity shop and a hardware shop. Nearby there is also a garden/pet shop and another restaurant. The views as you drive around the area are stunning. Both Arran and Bute are visible along with the stunning Kyles of Bute. You will find forestry and beaches all on your doorstep.
