We enjoyed this traditional but well appointed house, more a home than a clinical holiday let. Great kitchen and equipment; dinner for fourteen worked. If using the guest beds, my back suggests a karrymat supplement.The activities available in the area should mean everyone can have...More

About the neighbourhood
Arrochar is an attractive West Highland village, with a well supplied village shop, post office, petrol station, and newspaper shop.

Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, at the gateway to the Argyll Forest Park, and at the foot of the Arochar Alps, the area is rich with spectacular views and scenery.

The Village Inn, a great family friendly pub and restaurant serving good food and a wide variety of real ales and whiskies, is just 100 metres from the front door. Other excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity include The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, The George in Inveraray and The Inverbeg Inn on Loch Lomond.

Mansefield House is situated at the quieter end of the village of Arrochar, off the main road.

Railway: Arrochar & Tarbet Station: 2.0 km
To get to Mansefield House, take the A82 to Tarbet either from the North or from Glasgow and the South.

At Tarbet, take the A83 towards Campbeltown for two miles.

On arriving in Arrochar, turn left at the Arrochar Hotel (signposted A814 Helensburgh) and continue along the lochside for 900 metres.

Mansefield House is on the left, just before the Village Inn.
