I like to meet guests on arrival but if I'm unable to do so then I like to catch up as soon as possible to introduce myself and make sure that everything is okay. Our own cottage is just 5 minutes away so there is always someone on hand to deal with any queries.

Whether you enjoy walking, hill climbing, cycling, golfing, sailing or even flying there is plenty to keep you busy during your stay.

A fantastic way to appreciate the scenery is via a boat on Loch Lomond - trips can be arranged through any of the following: Sweeney's Cruises, Loch Lomond Leisure and Balmaha Boat Yard.

The list is endless. You could start with the Campsies to get get a different perspective on Edenwood! How about a stroll along part of the West Highland Way or follow some of the trails in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park ? You can't beat Loch Lomond for stunning views.

Hill Walking
If hills are more your thing then Ben Lomond is a must and Ben A'an is an easier option with amazing views.

Whilst you can walk to the village of Balfron in around 20 minutes a car really is essential for exploring all the local area has to offer. The nearest bus stop is in the village.

How to get there
From Stirling
Leave motorway at Junction 10 and come in towards the castle and follow signs for Loch Lomond / A811 to Drymen, Erskine Bridge and Loch Lomond. Stay on A811, straight over roundabout at Kippen/Thornhill junction, go through Arnprior and Buchlyvie. 2 mile after Buchlyvie take turning on left to Balfron (A875).

From Glasgow Airport
Take M8 toward Glasgow, leave at Junction 25 to Clyde Tunnel, and follow signs for north and Aberfoyle (A81). When you get to Canniesburn Toll roundabout take second left to Milngavie (not Drymen A809). Stay on A81 through Milngavie, Strathblane, Blanefield until you pass Glengoyne whisky distillery on right. Take turning on right after the distillery to Killearn. Go through Killearn, Boqhuan and into Balfron.
