Holiday Rental House
Greenbank is a charming Grade C listed Victorian house positioned for a superb view over the head of the loch. The large half-acre garden extends west towards the loch and up the hill towards the mountains. This private garden is festooned with mature shrubs and trees and provides hiding places for children and is a good spot for a close encounter with grouse, red squirrel and deer. Nestled between the mountains and the loch every window offers stunning views. Inside has been thoughtfully refurbished and equipped to a high standard in 2013. About the neighbourhood
Lochgoilhead offers 2 pubs and a good restaurant. There are leisure facilities at a nearby holiday park which are open to non-residents. This includes a 25 metre pool and golf. In this surprising hidden village, you can watch seals, ducks and swans sharing the water, while behind in the garden there may be red squirrels, deer and grouse. Endless forest tracks and mountain trails in all directions allow you to explore the stunning landscape.
How to get there
Follow the Loch Lomond road (A82) to Tarbet. Then take the A83 up the Rest And Be Thankful mountain pass then the last 6 miles are on a spectacular single track road winding down to the village.
